I get what you're saying, however customers aren't always right. This idea has to lead to a major increase in people treating employees like shit, taking advantage of company's solely because the customer is "always right". Some customers are wrong, and companies shouldnt have to wait hand and foot on assholes lest they fear backlash for standing up for themselves. Also, just to clarify I'm not stating that in this instant that he's a an asshole, he isn't. The company should do what's right and take care of him.

I paid $1623 dollars to get my oz9. First magazine ever first round it wouldnt go into battery. No matter how hard I tried and how many different ways I tried it would not go into battery. So i tried 3 different types of ammo. Not a single one would feed into the barrel. So I swapped the barrel into my glock 17 and it fed with no issues at all. Took it back to the dealership and showed my gunsmith. Ended up sending it back and they offered me a refund so I bought a deagle. Never even got to put a round through it. I would trust a fucking hi point over a oz9. Shit is garbage

I do like the orange case better than the black box my Glocks come with. Will ZEV sell just the boxes except leave off the OZ logo?
We had the locking lug on the bottom of the barrel come off our range OZ9 at about 3000 rounds. Had to replace the magazine release because metal magazine releases on polymer mags just result in broken mags, and had to replace the entire EDP and extractor with factory Glock parts since the OZ9 ones started failing to extract properly around the 3500-4000 round mark. Meanwhile I'm about to clean my G19X for the first time since buying it at the 10,000 round mark. Has functioned flawlessly so far. Was initially impressed by the OZ9, real use shows something different all together.

I have had the magazine problem with all my Glocks that have metal mag releases.. I put them in because I'm a lefty and needed an extended mag release. So it's not just a oz9 thing

Thanks for the honest review. Def going to hold off on getting one now. I can share some insight into why they made the design decisions they did. This is pretty much Zev's attempt at getting into the competition space (USPSA/IPSC/IDPA). By releasing a "Production" line pistol, it will be legal to shoot the OZ9 in divisions that ONLY allow factory guns. For example, if you built a Frankenstein glock it would only be legal in Open and Limited Divisions (USPSA). Also, the reason they created it with the 1911 grip angle is because 1911/2011s are generally accepted to be the most comfortable guns to shoot. I believe KC Eusebio helped with the development of this pistol who happened to be a long time Open division shooter.

I have a Glock 17 that is very “upgraded”. I’m running all Zev upper parts in the gun minus the firing pin safety plunger, because of a crucial issue with that specific part. Even in a stock Gen 4 17 I found it to cause my firing pin to slip and fire a round on trigger reset almost every trigger pull.

do you have experience with zev slides as drop ons? if so, would you recommend?
@jfbreig4 жыл бұрын
Question, I saw your finger off the trigger when it the gun went off, so; Was it a dead trigger with the trigger stuck to the rear? Were you expecting to ride the reset before firing the next round? The trigger is still a "safe action" trigger so, it is impossible for the gun to go off without the trigger being depressed, no? as in, if you rack the gun and do not depress the trigger, it will never fire or go off on its own, right? well, in theory?

I also remember a wasr I had having a trigger the would stick right on the wall. Also a bullpup sks that was suspect with the safety and a sub 2000 that was wobbly where it fold. I actually love Zev but will be completely honest. The OZ-9 Standard absolutely sucks do to the fact that they recommend 200+ rounds to break in and does not do well with 115gr ammo. I found if you put OEM Glock springs in it. The gun will work much better. By springs I mean trigger return spring and the striker spring. Now the OZ-9C which is a compact version was ready to go out of the box. I have mine set up with the X grip frame so it is like the Glock 19X in size. Point is stay away from the Standard and get the Compact if you are interested in getting a Zev Technologies pistol.
