I am in the US too. You can get all these loose leaf tea at Amazon. I use lipton orange pekoe leaf and others combinations for milk tea.

hk both version can order. We commonly drink with evaporated milk, which is similar to British style. We can also order condensed milk version called 茶走/茶走甜 which is likely South east asia version.

個人意見，撞茶目的是要使茶葉受熱和吸收水分更平均，至於增加順滑度，應該是不要過度高溫回溫，還有當最後吊茶時水分也會蒸發，茶的濃度也會提高，就是所謂的「厚身」，口味上也會變得順滑

坊間所有嘅港式奶茶做法都需要有撞茶呢個步驟！我都有研究過並且節錄其中一篇比你參考！ 《撞茶為沖調重要一步，功效多多，如可令低面溫度調和、茶水互撞而磨擦出味、讓水分能入茶葉中間而更出茶味。撞茶時如距離夠高，力度自然夠大，可令整壺茶的味道更均勻，同時讓茶降溫並帶入更多空氣，令茶味更香。》 所以片中做法絕對係正確，唔會教壞人！

最簡單用電熱水煲的水係唔夠熱的! D茶葉係要一早溝好先，唔係沖先至溝，用時候要再返混動吓。係冇咩技術，但佢真係有好多錯處囉!

Ceylon tea not strong enough.. you should get black Indian tea leaves not tea bag and mix together. Lipton give the shiny gold color
