@@micgomac I don't think you have a chance to see the other side of the world too much! 大六人到了香港立刻贵呀. This is what people in Australia, Canada and US were saying to the HK people in the massive HK immigration influx. The price of house and apartments went sky-rocketed during the early to mid 80's. So don't be a fool to believe Chinese people messed up HK. I am sure your parents came from China.

I strongly recommend this channel to all Hong Kong people who have been contemplating to move to countries such as UK, US, Canada, and Australia. What she had described about racial discrimination in the western world was and is very true! New Chinese immigrants to these countries may try to ignore the blatant racial discrimatory acts some of time, but not all the time. The racial discrimination perpetuates from kindergarten, elementary, junior, high schools, universities, and finally at works. With my experience of having lived in the western world for many years, it has been HELL!

Thx. for sharing your video regarding life in England. I find it very informative and educational esp. to those who are struggling if moving to England from HK is a good choice for them. I'm sure the data presented in your video would probably make them think twice. Thx. so much for sharing your life experiences in England.

I grew up in England during the early 80's you must have been the similar era. I experienced the exact same racism as you did which I always tell my Hong Kong wife but she doesn't care because she is deep yellow. Yellow people from HK always look up to the west and thinks everything from the west are always more superior. So so sad...
Do you mean racial discriminatiion? Go out and ask your neighbours (all races). Ask them whether there is racial discrimination in Canada ! All the political parties in Canada have people of different races ! Please don't spread HATE !!

Pam, you are an excellent presenter. I really enjoyed watching and listening to your past living experiences in the UK. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing.
Being an employee working for a London based company, I have no doubt about all your content. I could not find anything that can explain the situation more true than the experience you had as a Chinese living in the UK for such a long time and have the mind to share the real cases for living honestly. Therefore, I dont have any reason not to share this clip with friends in HK who are ready to move to the UK and not knowing much about how the living style works there. I definitively suggest having this clip as a survival guide for anyone who moves there before it is too late! Thx so much!

Actually I’m all for simplified Chinese so students can spend less time on the characters and more times on other subjects. That’s one of the main reason happened in Japan and Korea respectively, aside from politics and their national pride. According to Google Chinese is the hardest language ( characters) to learn in the world. Things happened for a reason.

I can attest to what this lady said. That was my experience when I was working in London. And it was certainly depressing in the winter when it was already dark at 4pm. Chinese food was not the greatest anywhere. If one thinks HK living expenses are high, other than housing, it’s higher in the UK.
@daisyypoon4 жыл бұрын
How can you not depress with London winters! It would be the same for all northern states.
Thank you miss, I migrated to mid Canada before and returned to Hong Kong afterward, can't agree more to what you said. Many Hongkongers are dreaming of the 'paradise' outside and doesn't know that here is paradise already, only if they have really lived there before. LOL !

What paradise? A place where you cannot say anything against the government is paradise ? Maybe yes, for CCP dogs.
BTW, the reason why falling leave affects train transportation, is because: Leave is part of a plant (i.e. vegretable.) It contains very low level of vegetable oil. When lots of them cover the train track, and the train wheels roll over the pile, the oil is squeezed out. The oil will make the rail more slippy than usual, negatively affecting the safety operation of the entire train. Train operator will need to slow down during the leave-blowing-times.
@billshun39634 жыл бұрын
So true, falling leaves can cause fatal car accidents especially on a wet road, you need to cut down ur driving speed in those condition. ( personal experience, I learned my lesson)
@kongr8894 жыл бұрын
@@billshun3963 Good point. I never thought of that too. Sorry that you had to learn it the hard way. Light oil on top of wet pavement will cause hydroplane. The leaves can be a source of oil.
