I studied this form under the watchful tutelage of Dr. Pei Lu Fei in San Francisco. He had a office on Geary Blvd out in San Francisco's Richmond district. Dr. Fei was a student of Cheng Man Ching back in China. Dr. Fei was truly a special gentlw soul.

It would be very interesting to read about your experiences with Dr, Fei. Have you ever written about them?
@TheBladepolisher7 ай бұрын
@@willowstream No, I haven't. Though my account of my relationship with Dr. Fei may be longer than I would've thought at first, my typing skills leave a lot to be desired. In addition to that, KZbin seems to enjoy closing my page and thus deleting whatever it is I've typed. I've had a problem with them for years.

Tai chi is an Martial Art, where os the martial part in this form??
@heahky39632 жыл бұрын
This is to strengthen inner energy. There are other stances where the physical forces are emphasised.
@andrewtrip86172 жыл бұрын
It’s an “internal “martial art .If you could see it it would be “external” like karate or wing Chung .
@Ninetyniner-mh9ke2 жыл бұрын
Yes - Tai Chi is a Martial Art and the Martial aspects (either Defensive or Offensive) are there in each and every movement of The Form e.g. Block, Parry & Punch - Withdraw & Push (just as it states); Descending Singleh Wip (a Low Groin Strike); Toe Kicks; Heel Kick, Step Back to Repulse Monkey (like Block Parry & Punch it's both Depfensive and Offensive at the same time) ... and on and on ... Look to the movements and See the Martial Aspects in this and many other Forms my friend.

Familiar with the form, understand the ching(internal force, and miracle happen. TaiChi movement are all in circle, large or small. When understanding the Ching every point of the curve will has it internal force and no single complete style will be see seen.try a grand tool and place an object on any point of the edge and see what happen. The object will be cut or fly away. To achieve that is practice xxxxxxxxx correctly. Ie synchronise the whole body, correct placing of your body part. Once open all open once close all close in a very natural way without exerting and When one part move all move. When car shaft move 1 tyre not moving what will happen.😁 🙏🙏🙏
