珍しい右舷側の吃水線が消えている米給油艦

アメリカ海軍佐世保基地からヘンリー・Ｊ・カイザー級給油艦「ジョン・エリクソン」（４，２０００トン）が出港してきました、アメリカ海軍の補給艦では初の主機関にディーゼルエンジンを採用しました、出港してきた「ジョン・エリクソン」をよく見ると右舷側の吃水線が消えていました、なぜ右舷側だけが消えているのか分かりませんが珍しい風景です。

I use to be a Boatswains Mate in the US Navy and part of our job was to paint the sides of the ship. It appears they scraped the old paint off which was probably pretty rusty but I'm sure the will repaint it again when they have time. The Kaiser is in need of a good overhaul to repaint the entire ship but it's always underway at Sea so it's hard to do. Thanks. Nice video.
