I think that somewhere on Nirn there's probably a hidden coven of Ayleids somewhere deep underground in an ancient city, just like with the hidden Snow-Elf civilisation found in the Dawnguard DLC in Skyrim. Doesn't necessarily make sense. Once Lorkhans' Heart was shot into the sea by Auri-Els' Bow (Dawn or Merethic Era) then Lorkhan got his heart back later on when he led the Nords to fight with the Chimeri and Dwemeri during the Merethic Era. During the latter Lorkhan quite literally became Red Mountain. These are just myths but we can't possibly know which myths are true and which aren't, although every myth holds some truth.

The word Aedra means the ancestors of the Aldmer, associated with Auri-El and Anuiel. The word Daedra means those who weren't the ancestors of the aldmer, associated with Padomay and Sithis, including the ones we know as the Princes. Although the Daedric princes as we know them weren't involved with the creation of Mundus but remained in Oblivion and created their own realms. Technically, I guess the word would also apply to any of the Elhnofey or Et'ada that did not follow Auri-El or Escape with Magnus. Although it might not, since they did lead the Aldmer to their current state, and are their ancestors too in a way. Lorkhan's status if he is a Daedra or not is weird and murky. Men claim him as a god, one of their own "Aedra", an ancestor of man IE: Shezzar or Shor. Mankar Cameron's interpretation is that like the Daedra made their own realms in Oblivion, Lorkhan was just another one that made his realm as Mundus. Although this somehow justifies Mehrunes Dagon coming in and usurping the Aedra and remaking Mundus to suit him. He sees it as a liberation of an unruly realm of Oblivion.

@basileus10928 жыл бұрын
That's not to mention the fact that many "loremasters" believe Atmora is a fragment of a previous kalpa. This would allow both Nords and Nedes to be human, only the Nords were the humans from a previous cycle who fled from the depredations of Alduin.
@Balinux8 жыл бұрын
Basileus Sarkly That's the story behind the Redguards. Those loremasters need to be more creative or not change the lore at all.
@basileus10928 жыл бұрын
Zaric Zhakaron Wouldn't it be difficult to determine which kalpa was "past" and which was "future"? Since Akatosh, the "body of time" is nonexistant (or not powerful enough for his aspect to define the nature of time) during the beginning and ends of kalpas, it would be impossible in practice to distinguish between kalpas in any other way than by saying that they were "different"? Not arguing here, just asking a question. If I were in an argument this would be moving the goalposts... I'm just looking for answers!
@caydenblackwell21768 жыл бұрын
Negative, every race of man (including Nedes) is descended from Atmorans except Redguards. Redguards are not known for coming over before Yokudas' Sinking, the Atmorans are known for coming over far before Ysgramor and had a far deeper foothold in Tamrielic history.

Are Tsaesci serpentine folk or men?
@swr36038 жыл бұрын
afaik there are descriptions of them as man-like or serpent-like. It could be the Tsaesci are like Kajiit and have different variants based on some external thing (probably not the moons). I've heard some people say that Tsaesci are specifically men and all the vampire/snake stuff is propaganda to scare Cyrods but I think that is a stretch. It could also be the opposite of that where the Tsaesci are just being described as men in order to keep people from fearing them (like the statues of Morihaus that depict him in a man aspect). It could also be the Tsaesci are specifically snake-like that have men in their society (laborers, other social classes) and that the snake-men and men are all included in the Tsaesci national identity. Or they could have shape changing abilities and be able to go from snake to man and in-between.
@caydenblackwell21768 жыл бұрын
The Tsaesci most likely have three different versions, there's a serpentine version, and two other versions I can't seem to remember from the top of my head. I don't believe human was one of them but it could've been. To reply to one of the comments below, no, they are not a form of Khajiiti. The Tsaesci are close to 'beefed up' Argonians if anything and the Ka'Po'Tun are extremely 'beefed up' Khajiiti. Where the Khajiiti mostly represent a form of 'werecat' the Ka'Po'Tun represent a form of 'weretiger' who happen to be ruled by the only known dragon known to still be alive, after the events of Skyrim and assuming Paarthurnax dies somehow. Anyways hopefully I helped, although I doubt it because this post is months old.
@swr36038 жыл бұрын
I'm not saying they are like the kajiit in that they are cat like I am saying they have alternate forms but are still all tsaesci. In the elder scrolls kajiit have different forms based on the phases if the moon. I the games we usually see the humanoid cat like kajiit but some look the same as housecats some look like large panthers and some kajiit even look the same as humans. There are statues of famous Tsaesci and they don't have any snake features and look human. there are also descriptions of them that make them sound like humans without the snake features. since there are different accounts that is why I suggested one option is they could have different forms like kajiit have based on the moons.

Oz-mer? Talking too fast there bub. Or-si-mer. :P My theory on the Dwemer origins is thus: The Dwemer were early settlers of Tamriel from the Summerset Isles. So early that they left before the egalitarian, ancestor-revering Aldmeri society became the rigid caste and Divine-worshiping Altmeri society of more modern times. They would have left prior to, or contemporary with, the Psjiic Order. This is why they are perceived as having little reverence for the "gods," as the Dwemer only perceive them as ancestors and do not put them on a special pedestal. Meanwhile, other groups like the Direnni and Ayleids would leave well after the Altmer caste society was developed, mainly drawing their populations from the lower castes looking to get out from under the yoke, but bringing with them the more exclusive "greater ancestors" religion with them.
@Imperiused9 жыл бұрын
No complaints from me there. Chim-chimeny Chim-chimeny Chim-cher-cheri!
@caydenblackwell21768 жыл бұрын
A great difference between the Psijic beliefs and Dwemeri beliefs is that the Dwemeri were more inclined to worship things as spiritual entities and they did believe in worshipping as seen where they worshipped the Numidium. The Dwemeri weren't people who didn't worship they were just people who worshipped more material objects than spiritual things, they didn't want to believe in something they couldn't see. The Psijics on the other hand just believed the gods are powerful beings who happened to be ancestors to the peoples of Tamriel, they didn't really concern themselves with the gods, they just concerned themselves with change, hence the reason they always got caught up in politics and the like, no one is about to rise to tremendous power without a visit from the Psijics, recorded or not.

Would have been nice if you had explained how daedra and aedra are different and how each came to be and why the Daedra are always in communication with mortals while Divines are not EVER. Still kind of confused with the whol Malacath thing as well. Didnt all the Altmer follow him? Wouldnt they all have turned into Orismer? And what made them turn into Orismer? He didnt say Boethiah did. And Malacath is apart of the Dark Elf tribunal Pantheon even though him and Boethiah are enemies. Really confused about that.
