Zhan Tiri's Return Explained! - Who Is Rapunzel's Greatest Villain? | Tangled The Series

Zhan Tiri has been threatening Rapunzel’s kingdom of Corona for a millenia. Many times this demonic entity has been defeated by the engineer Lord Demanitus, but now the threat has been released from her prison again. Because of the clash between the sun and moon incantations, the Enchanted Girl has revealed herself as Zhan Tiri and is ready to use the full scope of her powers again. This massive event in Tangled The Series has to be talked about. Today we are going to discuss Rapunzel’s greatest villain: Zhan Tiri!

There were many hints that Enchanted Girl is Zhan Tiri. She is blue (just like the moonstone, which has the power to drain energy and kill. And then there was that one line from the Hurt Incantation, "set the spirit free". Could be tied to Zhan Tiri "being set free"!) and has that vampiric nose, her buns are in the same place as Zhan Tiri's horns, she appeared before Cassandra in the House of Yesterday's Tomorrow (the domain of that one Zhan Tiri follower), she was really upset about the destruction of the other spells held in the Great Tree AND knew about the Demanitus scroll... Also, whenever Cassandra expressed doubts, Enchanted Girl acted like she didn't care about her feelings. In fact, she kept coercing her into killing Rapunzel; taking advantage of Cassandra's jealousy and inferiority complex towards Rapunzel.

I absolutely loved this episode!!! I was a bit shocked to see that was Zhan Tiri's normal form. I thought the demon thing was the actual form and Zhan Tiri was only using the little girl form to seem helpful and as a disguise. I am both excited and sad for the finale!

I mean if you think about it, if you believe in demons in our reality, they often take the form of young children to deceive people and potentially take advantage of them. So it makes sense in my eyes that Zhan Tiri would be essentially a kid. But on the other hand, maybe in its realm the actual demon form is its true form.

The synopsis for the next episodes states that Cass goes to try and make amends with Rapunzel, so I think she’s already realized the threat that was unleashed and that she was being manipulated the whole time. However the keyword there was TRY. Before, Raps was totally willing to forgive Cass, but Cass just threatened the love of her life. Might not be so easy anymore...

I think that Zhan Tiri would first of all go after Varian as he's an inventor/alchemist and she doesn't want to repeat the history. As only Casandra knows how she looks it can be really creepy and very dangerous for this little bean. She also have seen him in action and even tho she maniupalet him too I think she can realise that he's a threat.

ScionStorm the terminology is a bit lose but I believe witches are like magic herbalists and draw their power from brewing special potions and such whereas warlocks draw their power from making some sort of deal with a more powerful creature (like being a magical sugar baby basically). Basically, people use them interchangeably but different words from magic people imply different things.

U cover this so well. If you enjoy reading you should read the Disney villain series (they are all linked even though i started with gothels backstory before i realized this) where gothels own mother had an army/servants of the dead where she had some sort of agreement/ arrangement with the ppl that they would give her the bones if their dead (remains) i forget what she did in return for that but one village said they would not honor that agreement so her mom went and killed every man. Then she went back for the men's bones and when they said no to that as well she killed all the women and children turning the village into a ghost town and every villager was now a part of her undead collection. Worst part was they were aware as the dead that they were being forced to work for her and gothel was disturbed by this but because she loved her mother allowed her to excuse what she did as necessary. Also gothel grew up with two "sisters" of her own The book is called "Mother Knows Best: A Tale of the Old Witch" by Valentino

First of all the creepy faces remind me of Darla Dimple in Cats Don’t Dance. Second of all, we knew Zhan Tiri would return from Queen For A Day forward. But not without a minor missed opportunity at the end of Season 1 for her to be part of Varien’s descend to madness. I don’t have an idea for her true desire for power. But she seems like the Thanos of the Tangled world. When I first signed up for this show, I thought I was in for a series of fun magical adventures around Corona. But then it turned into a bigger thing of beauty than how it really started in 2010 with the original movie. And I have to say in a pleasant way, the countdown to the happy ending has been a bumpy road for Rapunzel and friends. I’m excited and scared to see it all come to an end. And I want to say ahead of time, it’s truly been a happy three years of my life watching this show.

My guess is the little girl or “Zan Tiri” will explain to Cassandra that she was never a friend, but used her instead as her way out of her prison. Then she will go after the sundrop and try to destroy Repunzuel. Cassandra will then have to save corona and possibly sacrifice herself doing so to save the people she loves in return for her betrayal

I like the idea of rapunzel and cas fighting against zan tiri but I noticed that when the girls were fighting, the moon stone cracks and a piece falls out. I think if rapunzel and cas do fight back, cas will have to have the whole moon stone to use her powers. Without it it would be hard to defeat zan tiri. They would have to go back and find the shard that fell out.

I love theories so here's mine- The Sun Drop and Moonstone are sentient beings (obviously, given that Rapunzel is a person) and they are both aware, subconsciously for Rapunzel, that their existence on earth was a great mistake, it brought havoc and war, when they were meant to be pieces of peace. The only way to destroy the stones is to connect them, truly and fully, with a fifth incantation, one that, and stay with me here, only Mother Gothel knows. Think about it, if it's true and she was once a follower of Zhan Tiri, she would know a lot about the Drop and Stone. In fact, she was so absorbed in herself that when Zhan Tiri first got trapped she decided to claim the power for herself instead of try to free the demon. That's when she really went searching, and with Demantis' accidental help, she discovered the Flower. The reason she would return to the flower so old was because she would spend most of her time tracking down the Moonstone, and while she did find it, was so heavily guarded she never could get to it. Gothel somehow knew the healing incantation, and it's fair to assume she knows the others as well. She just only ever had need for the healing one. Fast forward and the King and Queen use the flower for themselves, but they don't know exactly what it was, so the Queen consumes it. It's power is given to Rapunzel. The events of Tangled take place. She still searches for a way to reach the Stone, but her trips shorten in time with her obsession with keeping Rapunzel hidden. Her daughter, Cass, was never planned, but she decided to keep the child as a maid of sorts. When it came down to it, she chose the Drop. Fast forward, and Zhan Tiri is in full power and using Cass and Raps powers against them. They are locked away and sent to Tiris prison because Tiris only use of the elements was to return her. In that prison, the two bond and Cass repents for everything she did. But the prison isn't just a prison. That's when Gothel appears, in a trapped spirit form, mocking the girls, as devious as always. But they stand against her, and she eventually tells them about the fifth incantation that she discovered some time ago. She says, if she can't use the Drop anymore then no one should be allowed, and she gave up searching for the Stone when she realized that the fifth incantation would destroy them. She shows the girls a way out, and after entering the real world again they march, hand in hand, prepared for ther own deaths, and reach Tiri. Tiri isn't shocked at all, but will keep sending them back until they stay there. Tiri has no idea the fifth incantation exists. Together, Raps and Cass sing the fifth incantation together, and the Drop and Stone make one final portal that locks Tiri away forever. The Drop and Stone are destroyed, the girls along with it. They lay there, Rapunzels brown hair returned, and Cass's black hair and silver armor. But since the Stone wasn't a physhical part of Cass, it simply shatters on her chest and leaves her heavily wounded but alive. The cages Tiri has trapped their friends in break, and Eugene runs to Raps, her body cold. That's when he sings the healing incantation, and like she did for him, it uses the small bit of sun left inside Eugene to revive Rapunzel. The Sun Drop and Moonstone are no more. Cassandra is hospitalized, but her name will now live on in Corona memory for all eternity. Which is exactly what she longed for so badly.

I’ve often wondered if Cassandra is able to use the Moonstone due to Gothel having given birth to Cass, and carried her while using the Magic Golden Flower to longer her life. So in a sort of way, Cass was able to still use it, despite Rapunzel being in a good distance. Anyone else wonder that? Especially sense it almost cost many lives in the Dark Kingdom?

Can we please talk about what Cassandra is going to feel like after the only one she trusted was *THE GHOST LADY* who manipulated her by showing her the truth about her life *(Mother Gothel)* and made her throw away everyone and everything she ever cared about only to fall again and this time she again has *NOBODY* by her side "Nothing Left To Lose". (Just like when she was left by her mother). She has no family nor friends to help her overcome her *BIGGEST OBSTACLE.* Feeling left behind all the time, never getting what she truly deserves unlike Raps who gets everything she want cuz she's the princess and what COMPLETELY broke her was the realization of the fact Gothel chose *RAPUNZEL* over her *OWN DAUGHTER!* Because of her own actions she didn't even want to commit.

In the ending credits, it is written Jennifer Veal as "Enchanted Girl", not Zhan Tiri. Either that history about Zhan Tiri wasn't accurate or that Enchanted Girl was someone who is related to Zhan Tiri who shared his fate.

I think I see how Rapunzel is going to lose her Sundrop power in time for the wedding. I think they are going to repeat the situation that played out in the movie, with her using the last of her power to revive someone. But maybe her hair hadn’t been cut at the point (Due to their inability to do so) and all of it turns brown so they then cut it. But I don’t think it will be Eugene she saves this time. I think it will be Cassandra. Hear me out. If Zhan Tiri is going to target threats to her, Cassandra is right up there as she has the moonstone. Also, the moonstone, which is right above her heart, cracked in the fight. What if this affects Cassandra’s health as well, since she basically merged with it. Maybe in the final battle with Zhan Tiri Cass has the moonstone forcefully taken from her, which proves to have deadly consequences. Or maybe Cass saves Rapunzel from something but it costs her life? Maybe due to the damage her body has been taking throughout the episodes, (her arm from the decay incantation, the moonstone being cracked right above her heart, her clearly having a more sickly pale skin tone recently from the moonstone, and maybe having it forcefully taken from her) that would explain why it would take ALL of Rapunzel’s power to revive her, even though she has all her hair. Eugene only had a stab wound and just required a single tear. That’s my prediction for the endgame.

Maybe Zhan Tiri was able to control some bit of the Moon Stone to get the black rocks to head towards Corona when Rapunzel was returned to her family. That could make sense as maybe that is why Quirin warned Frederic that by removing the Sun Flower from its resting place that it would cause Zhan Tiri to gain some form of power to be released. That would greatly explain why Gothel didn't remove the flower from the hill in the first place as maybe she didn't want Zhan Tiri to escape if she was once a follower, but was changed a little before or after Zhan Tiri was imprisoned. And that would possibly explain why Gothel abandoned Cassandra when she was heading back to get her after kidnapping Rapunzel, she knew that by taking Rapunzel that Zhan Tiri's powers would find a way to find her and that is why Gothel kept her in the 'random' tower hidden in the woods as maybe the tower had some kind of magic/science from Demanitus' time that would hide the power of the sundrop. As once when Rapunzel returned to Corona did the black rocks start to appear even more.

I think I know how Zhan Tiri convinced Gothel. By showing and telling her the one thing most humans fear....mortality. Gothel was probably told throughout her life how beautiful she was and took pride in that. However one day she realized that her beauty would fade, that she will grow old, and that she would die: and that scared her. She wouldn't accept that so when she found or was told about the Sundrop's power well we all know the story.

I have a theory, what if Cass discovers the wrong that she's done and the hurt she's caused her friends. She will team up with Rapunzel. Sun and moon on one side against the baddie. But Cass will die because of the damaged moonstone, she can only use it one more time which will be her last. Rapunzel will loose her golden hair once again in the battle. Eugene and Rapunzel decide to get married because they knew that it was what Cass wanted all along and they end the series with sending lanterns into the sky in memory of Cass. The warrior, the hero, the sister and most importantly the best friend.

I don’t think the moon stone is at its full potential anymore now that it’s hurt and I think it’s gonna take a toll on cass not only to use it but just to hold it it’s apart of her similar to the sundrop is to rapunzel and now that it’s hurt it may look to her energy to heal it or she herself would also be damaged and if the redemption does happen that might be the reason it costs her so much because it’s damaged and doesn’t work as well as it used to and it already took a toll on her to use the stone before hand so it may cost her
