The new firmware made this an awesome radio v1.707. Thanks ZHIWHIS..! The muting issue is fixed! FRS is good. Caution! Follow directions closely. You must format the memory card as FAT32. Not EXFAT or NTFS! You need to delete the partition on the card, make a 2gb partition and format it FAT32 so as not to brick your radio, large partitions cannot be formatted FAT32. 2GB is large enough. New cards come EXFAT 99% of the time, don’t use that… the reason I say this is my friend bricked his raddy that way.. If you don’t know how to do this learn first. Bricked radios are not warrantied. One other note, switch stepping to 10 for AM MW in US.. it defaults to 9

I think it would look a bit better if the main display was inverted like the level indicator display. It looks strange with the weird stripes of colour on the top and bottom of the main display

For 2024 this radio is very versitile. I believe its the best portible for 2024 so far. 5 antenna possibilities thats unheard of. Ron z. Wa3090swl.

Exact same radio as the Raddy RF919. Good reception on the AM, FM. Not so great on the SW bands, even with the external antenna.
