I just got the weebill s for my a6500 and couldn't be happier! The gimbal charges my camera and I can start and stop recording using the button on the gimbal. Those 2 things alone are enough to make me happy.

For the kit lens balance use the raiser as well and turn it 90 degree to the left to get the cam completely balanced. For the remote issue use the non multi micro usb cable and setup the gimbal to Panasonic and you get the cam settings on the gimbal display. Cheers M

I don’t think being able to change settings on the gimbal should dissuade people from getting it. In my opinion, that option is more of a nice to have than it is a must have for gimbal usage-as long as the gimbal delivers on portability and smooth performance it should be good enough to justify the purchase

@@peguyfomo7660 I didn't use gimbal so long, but as I wrote, instead of Sony cable for connecting gimbal and camera, use cable for Canon to obtain connection between Sony and gimbal. I was used this connection between a6300 and webil s ( in meanwhile I sold a6300). This connection also work between a7iii and webil.

Such an awesome video. One question though, if you use the lens support, doesn't that not allow you to put the lens in manual focus? You can't move the focus ring. I don't use the lens support, and it seems to work fine, Everything feels solid to me.

I use a6400 w/ Sigma 16 f1.4 inside a 6500 cage. My tilt axis motor vibrates slightly and I have the power turned all the way down! Any higher motor torque itd shake extremely , help!

Hey there! Thanks for the compliment! 😀 The A6600 is already out here is Singapore but i’m scoping out the Fujifilm X-A7 first. It looks really good just need to go test out the AF cuz some reviewers say the AF is not really good and we know Sony’s AF is the best in the market. Yeah im loving the Sigma16mm F1.4 and its relatively much cheaper. If you are getting that remember to get a Variable ND filter. 😀

I noticed people don’t use the cable with the gimbal. I guess the motors are strong enough that you can just press the buttons on the camera while the gimbal is on.

I am new with weebill s. My set up is around 800gms. I am perfectly tunning the weebill s but still then i can feel a slight vibration. I have tried auto tunning as well as custom tunning (turned all the motors to value 6) still i can feel a humming vibration. Any thoughts on this?and when using the gimbal in some points its vibrating heavily.

@@sahibkainth yeah actually, I wasn't adjusting the numbered areas using those little knobs on the gimbal. I was only using the latched parts and sliding my camera around on that but when I balanced it with the nobs as well I had no issues. Hope this helps ya bud.

Hey man, I'm about to get this for the sony a7. It seems it has some compatibility with it? But im nervous that it won't. Aside from that, is it my understanding that I could set my cameras settings in manual prior to setting it up on the gimble and it would maintain those settings while I record? Or is it simply just incompatible with the gimble unless I'm setting it up with an automatic setting? I'm just mostly nervous about it shooting at a slower shutter than 1/120 as I want to make sure I've got slow motion capabilities shooting at 60 fps

For Sony cameras there are some issues on the Weebill-S like if you use the correct cable, you cant see your Camera settings on the gimble itself. You need to use another cable which is the usb-b cable and select Canon or Panasonic to get the settings viewable on the Weebill-S. An alternative would be the Dji ronin sc.

Should be no issues on the Weebill S cuz i have tried heavier setups like a7iii and canon eos rp. In fact a6600 will be easier cuz the a6500 is too light from my experience. Hope this helps!

Yup if u look at the camera compatibility list on the zhiyun website, it indicates no support at the moment. The Weebill Lab i believe it works.

Did you go under your Sony camera settings under the Briefcase icon and change the USB connection to PC Remote? And also Remote Ctrl option to On. Then once plugged in using the Micro usb to micro usb cable, go under the Weebill-S settings and select Panasonic. If you are using to micro usb to multi usb cable, then select Sony instead of panasonic.

Its either one of your axis is locked. Or your setup is too light, so just quickly hit the Autotune button on the Weebill-S.

I want to ask you something, are you shooting your videos in a different frame rate than 24 FPS and then slow it down or speed it up. I'm asking that because of the sound. I watched a couple of your videos and your voice sounds too robotic and I guess it is because you are shooting in either 25 or 30 FPS and then slow it down to 24 FPS and do the pitch correction. Am I right?

Too wrong stabilising technique you won’t be able to use vortex by this setting you motor will suffer and battery will drain fast. He is some dumb guy who tryna balance this masterpiece i have tried at first like this but then I thought loosen up the screw of front view lock corresponding to the top first lock of the gimbal and now m sorted. Came here to see the sony mounting plate. But that’s too tricky and m using default plate only does the job.
