Wrong, many marry even after knowing that they Cannot maintain after marriage, so it is an emotional/needy based decision even when it comes to cars !
@zigwheels3 ай бұрын
It’s a safe rule to go buy but we’d say in addendum, you can maintain these cars provided you do you research about them and allocate funds accordingly before buying one. The decision can be driven by emotion but must be supported with rational thinking and planning
@thrissurdiary95833 ай бұрын
If that's true then Kerala will have zero used premium cars ... But only difference is sales has increased 150 % for used German cars.... Many audi A4 q3 320d merc e 250d all r surprisingly reliable.... Ofcourse u can't maintain like a maruthy... All these cars are real emotional experience... U can't really put a price on that
@gauravborikar88223 ай бұрын
Luxury used cars are no doubt a risk. But mechanically they are much superior. Parts used are genuine high quality and are built to last long. Its all about driving style and maintenance. Service history plays a big role. It helps you to know everything abt the car. Everything in life is risk and uncertain but one cant live thinking in this way. We have one life, turn your dream to reality, if you have one 😊

I would love a Lexus. Sadly, everyone knows they are much higher quality than anything Euro so just do not depreciate. An ES300 is impossible to find under 30 lakh. An A4 of a similar vintage is about half.
@mrinalmajay15193 ай бұрын
Bro high quality seriously 🤣. You can say reliable not high quality. High quality in terms of exterior, interior and driving quality any euro( Audi, BMW , Merc)is better than lexus. There is no comparison here. But in terms of reliability and resale lexus is better.
@eriktenhag20223 ай бұрын
Ahahaha bit more reliable maybe but they are DEFINITELY *NOT* much higher quality than comparable euro cars. Mtlb kuch bhi? 😂😂😂 In many cases, they end up looking and feeling cheaply built vis-a-vis euro competition. The engine choices on offer are also, more often than not, an absolute snoozefest compared to euros.

@@mrinalmajay1519they are higher quality too in many of their models. Go check some of Lexus old and new models and then check out a German car brand , you’ll find a difference yourself
@rahul42883 ай бұрын
@@mrinalmajay1519Lexus is super high quality -easily comparable to Germans. You have 2.5 cr Lexus models in India - at that price, you get top quality. BTW, German cars are not reliable -and that to an extent is certainly related to quality. You cant hide under 'engineering complexity' and being 'performance oriented' as an excuse for not being reliable. I will infact say that lack of reliability is a safety issue. You may have all the high tech imaginable in your German car, but when it leaves you stranded on a deserted highway, its certainly not a safe situation for you.

Fresh out of uni, I got myself a decade and a half old Honda Civic. Though not meant to be a luxury car, I spent an amount almost equal to the price of car in mechanical repairs, servicing, and some visual and functional upgrades in the past one and half year of using it. However I had an estimate of these costs before buying the car hence according to me, it is an extremely good deal for me. My experience with the car has been fantastic so far, and I surely am glad about my purchase.

Great video guys! I have always believed that buying used cars especially luxury cars is a gamble. And your video reinstated my belief. I think warranty is a very important, sometimes ignored and taken for granted thing. Paying huge amounts to maintain a car which you feel you got a deal on makes no sense. I would rather have a new car that fits my budget with the warranty package rather than go in for a used one. These are my personal views. However someone who is willing to take the risk or if you are getting a car from someone you know can always go ahead.

Well, if you want a used luxury car make sure these points. 1. See if there is a reliable mechanic who knows and can handle these luxury cars, because you can't go to the service center of that car again and again for a little thing and expect it to cover in less money. So, you need a better garage or mechanic who knows about these cars. 2. If you are looking to buy a used luxury car, make sure you have a proper cost efficient and best insurance available for the car, because it will save you in the needy times if there is an unfortunate damage on the car. 3. Make sure to check the service records because cars like Audi, Mercedes and even diesel BMW can last and be some less heavy on you pockets if they were maintained well by their previous owner. And if maintained right theses cars won't bring any unnecessary sensor warnings. 4. And if you are buying it then please don't put CNG tank in it😂🥲; If you are going to do it then don't buy such cars and also it will be heavily depreciated if you decide to sell it after few years. 5. Lastly if you are going to drive these cars for your normal activities or long trip, drive it like a responsibility. 6. Make sure change the oil, especially if you are buying a BMW or any RWD cars 😂. Enjoy these cars and drive it like a emotion.

a good debate! thing is in India the wear and tear is high and maintenance is expensive. but the feeling one gets by owning and driving and enjoying the sound and feel of such a car, is unparalleled. especially for a person who loves cars. i have a 12year old cooper bought used 5 years ago when it was 7 years old and it is just lovely even now.

Does the Ford Endeavour qualify as a luxury Car? 😃 I am planning to buy the 3.2 L 4x4 AT (2017) model that has more than 47,000 Km on it. Will it be expensive to maintain? Your opinion on what are the common problems that users have reported in this generation of the car and also about the availability and cost of parts?
@rahul42883 ай бұрын
May be in Indian context, one may call it luxury given the price tag but its really not. They are very common place SUVs in developed market. You dont have the comfort, performance and features that true luxury cars provide. Its basically a small truck meant for rugged terrain. Its superior to a Fortuner though. Since Ford has exited, one should buy Ford second hand. It won't come cheap and doesn't offer anything special in today's context. You can get a new Scopio 4WD in the price a second hand Endeavour will come.

Also, I am curious to know tushar's opinion on used Q3 2.0 diesel quattro. I used to think about buying it but nowadays not do much but still. I have heard that its independent suspension repairs costs are not exorbant plus the 2 L diesel is known for its super reliable nature munching millions of kms without any rehaul & since its new car price was ~45 lakh i bet it isnt that much costly to maintain then lets say a bmw 320d,x1,5 series,q5,q7 etc which are notoriously unreliable.

No matter how much good efforts you put through these videos, these videos are only for people who have the attention span to completely watch such videos as people are preferring shorts and even the educated people don't do a proper search before buying a car relying on a friend or relative who themselves know very little about cars... They see one or two videos that crop up in their search and go ahead with the purchase and then regret their decision... Hope laws are more stricter for both new and used cars so that people are not cheated of thei hard earned money.. Well, if people decide to buy a car outside of their earning potential then its their problem but at least there should be transparency and cheating-free deals so that people can enjoy their cars more
