@@zainabkhan2475 yes. From Australia. I rode a Himalayan in Bhutan. Loved it. I want to buy the Meteor when it comes out as a 650 (hopefully soon). Bikes in Australia need to cruise comfortably at 110km per hour because of the freeways. I think the meteor 350 likes 90km per hour as a comfortable speed. RE has definately made improvement compared to its previous 350 cc engine and I appreciate their efforts... Finally we get a less vibration engine and quality has been improved to survive the market! But when compared to Honda CB350, an unexpected competitor for RE, RE has to work a lot hard on refinement and performance! ✌️✌️✌️
@kamleshkumaryadav12744 жыл бұрын
Vibration is the main feature of RE bikes 🏍, they can't minimise that
@annulimummicho27734 жыл бұрын
@@kamleshkumaryadav1274 Hahaha... True... But to survive the market they have to keep continuously working on betterment and liking of the customer... If anyone who doesn't prefer thump, have many options such as Dominar, KTM, jawa, imperiale, Apache 310 n so on...
@kamleshkumaryadav12744 жыл бұрын
Cult fan following of RE is 30+ age group who had already have a RE bikes 🏍. Now RE have to designed their as per their future customers 18+ age group, the current teenager likes bikes 🏍 with retro look with all modern features. But RE right now is focusing on their profit maximising not giving basic features to bikes 🏍. It's 2020 still RE bullet standard doesn't have a fuel gauge while In BS6 model their no fuel nob so that we can adjust petrol from main to reverse. The low fuel ⛽ indicator also doesn't works properly. Meteor 350 has some modern day features likes bluetooth connectivity and navigation system, but it's still misses the refinement, slipper clutch. RE is not company that provide good electrical /electronics so fingers crossed 🤞 for THAT. RE is now behaving like Nokia behaves once upon a time that no one take their market what happened to Nokia everyone knows. These days bikes have superb refinement like jawa, Honda h'ness, benelli but RE is ignoring it and just doing cosmetic upgrades rather than focusing on further development
@annulimummicho27734 жыл бұрын
@@kamleshkumaryadav1274 Totally agree... The old cast iron bullets are something to be preserved and those are historical motorcycles... Wht RE had done in recent years is made a new UCE engine which practically is a crap and survived for years since 2008 if I m not wrong and enjoyed the monopoly using thump and its signature design of classic model... RE 650s are excellent... Awesome machine... would not comment on that... they are worth price wht they offer ✌️

My take on this: I'd personally prefer owning a Honda, but I'd give some credit to Royal Enfield. They have come a long way since their old vibrating models with subpar build quality. Compared to their previous 350 models, the Meteor sounds promising. But they're gonna get a very tough competition from Honda's product on this one! Haters are going to hate and troll as they always did from the beginning, but As a product coming from India (at least partly), I give RE a thumbs up. Looking forward for a test ride.

I just came back from RE showroom. I personally hated the dual tone scheme when the first pics came out. Though they look so much better in person, I think the second variant Stellar is the one I would choose. The single tone metallic paint looks ways better than either Fireball or the avenger-ish looking (not a compliment) SuperNova. What you miss out on is the windshield which can be easily bought an accessories. The bike is nice and comfortable and noticably lower now. Paint quality too seemed good. No test rides yet here sadly. The showroom also got a rough estimate of the price, its between 2.18-2.35 OTR here in Mysore, which isnt cheap by any means. But I honestly think this is a WAY better option than the Jawa line up. But the most imp question is how it stacks up against the CB350. Please answer that soon

Performance wise there is no matching that bike. It clearly has a better engine

@@detachedloop1004 They may cater to the same segment, but they clearly have different target audience. I honestly did not like the Jawa engine. I wish they had just plonked the Mojo engine without reworking on it. The refinement and tuning of the Mojo engine was so much better and would have done so much more to make the Jawas better. Yes its better than UCE by miles. But there is more to a bike than performance right?

@@TheLazyWandererMys I mean highness has a better performing engine than any RE 350. When it comes to Jawa it's all about preference as some people care about long stroke engine character. I don't. I like Jawa's performance and cool with a short stroke engine, just don't trust it enough as a brand yet. If I were to be honest I am looking for a rather big cruiser so if either Jawa launched a new two seater that has Perak's performance or even bigger close to 400 cc or if Royal Enfield brings that 650 cc test cruiser to life. One of the two will be my kind of bike

@@detachedloop1004 I don't think much could be said to fault Honda engines in general. They simply are brilliant. And yes I agree it's probably a better engine, even if it's not, it will last a lifetime without niggles and quality issues. As for big cruisers, I think RE should explore more genres with that beautiful engine. A classic 650 would be great, a cruiser is coming anyways. Theres a roadster too. But I think what people are more desp waiting for is the ADV avatar. But yes I understand your point. I am not a cruiser guy but yes I do enjoy long stroke engines in general.

@@TheLazyWandererMys I also forgot the bikes coming under Bajaj and triumph partnership. That's another really cool option. It's better to wait for a year or two to see what our market has to offer :)
