My prediction is for home prices to return to 2018-2019 levels sometime next 2 years. All the unusually circumstances of the last two years are either gone or will be gone soon, stimulus checks gone, unusually low interest rates gone, health restrictions cause relocation demand gone, legal required no verification mortgage forbearance to end by end of this year.

Best deals coming on 2024. It will pay off handsomely to wait. Even if interest rates keep rising, prices will descend accordingly.

Hi J Garcia, thank you for watching and for commenting. Possibly, but how much will those deals cost if rates go up to the mid 7s & 8s? Even if the real estate market drops 25% value nationwide by the end of 2024, it won't be enough to hedge the monthly mortgage cost. The mortgage will cost more than at the current prices. That's where gaining clarity of why someone wants to buy a home becomes super important yet it's often overlooked. Anyhow... I'm sending you positive vibes everything goes your way!

Who would trust anything Zillow says after they gouged prices in the market and lie and hide their Zestimate for people who pay them? Zillow is being sued for this.

People aren’t buying because they’re still overvalued. So even if there’s “fewer buyers to compete with” people are sick and tired and even if they could afford these prices out of principle don’t want to. Redfin also isn’t going to come out and say a full on housing recession is coming lmao

Redfin is much more on point imho. I still like to research both of them (and others) for the nuggets of info they have as multi billion dollar corporations. I have a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath small house in a Minneapolis suburb. It’ll sell for about $320,000 so I’ll net about $280,000-$290,000. I want to move to a condo because I’m old and am tired of the maintenance but a one bedroom 800 square foot condo goes for about $300,000. Condos seem overpriced compared to houses. Is that just my imagination?

Thank you for sharing with us. That's a great a point and no you're not imagining things. Condos/ townhomes have increased greatly in value. Largely in part due to many falling within more "affordable" pricing. With the ridiculous rental rates, many people have opted to pursue the price range they can afford in the current market which means condos/ townhomes for a large segment of home buyers. In your situation, it's completely understandable why a condo lifestyle could make a lot of sense based upon what you shared with us. That said, please think through not only your current lifestyle but how you visualize your lifestyle in the future to ensure you're making the right move for you. Perhaps a low or no maintenance age-restricted home might be an option for you? It comes down to you what you want, your lifestyle, and making the most well-informed decision you can for the reasons important to you. I hope that helps.
