Yep butter is mostly fat so it molds way slower than other foods. As long as you’re using the butter in a timely manner, it’s fine. The butter will change color (mine gets super dark yellow, when you swipe it you can tell the difference) or taste waxy if it’s starting to go rancid.

I was born and raised in Germany. It is pretty common to leave the butter out in a dish as we mostly have bread with deli/cheese for dinner. Like a charcuterie board with a basket of breads and butter. It is actually an excellent meal :D

when you guys started talking about having a throne in your house and greeting people, i got a memory of my Astronomy teacher (in highschool). On the first day of class he sat upon on his 'Bone Throne'. This was a chair on an elevated platform made from animal bones and covered in animal hides. This was IN THE FRONT OF THE ROOM MIND YOU. so you'd have to walk by it when you were entering. so i can't tell if that makes it more or less realistic to have a throne in your home :)

Butter on the counter was a huge issue between me and my uni roommate. My house is firmly fridge butter, if you want softened butter you cut a chunk off and leave it out for like 10-15min and it's soft. Roommate was firmly team leave a whole stick on the counter....We ended up buying separate butter lmao
