My oldest brother use to sit and watch me play this. We were both in awe. It's ashame people didn't buy this masterpiece in droves. This games so good it should have saved the Dreamcast. But you know American gamers wanted fast paced blow everything up Lol.

It's actually the game that killed Dreamcast and also opened the door for western video game development. This game inexcusably cost $70 million to make. A lot of it on wasteful things like having to have people that actually looked like every character in the game voice that character. So they literally flew people back and forth across the world just for voice acting. It really put Sega in a hole that it never recovered from. However this game blessed the rest of the world and other video games with concepts that that weren't around at the time. You can see the major influences this game had on games like GTA 3. The Dreamcast and this ga. E literally gave birth to a lot of things in modern gaming..

damn, i get chills everytime i see something about shenmue. I want badly shenmue III, we waited more than 10 years, we just.. deserve it. and sega deserves it, too. making some HD remake will give an extra shot to this game, then they could produce the third...
