🤟😁👍I go through that pile and the piles in the back room checking the ones I havent seen befor frequently. Alot of regulars do. When I enter the store we say our Howdys and catch up on events then I ask what's new. Dane knows my tastes and starts showing me things I might be interested in. Or big amps ( he doesn't like big stuff that takes up alot of room, guess why ). He knows I'm a rocker from the 70s, bigger, louder, is better. Danes a great guy and wants to make sure his customers leave happy. There are a bunch of regulars and we all know each other. Inventory changes constantly, you never know what might walk in the store. Great place to shop.

I was not expecting to see a Jeff Waters guitar! I always liked his band Annihilator from the late 80's,one of my favorite guitar players.

A quick condensed version of Charvel's History. Wayne Charvel started out at fender and then left there to start His own guitar repair business. It grew to offer replacement parts for Fender style guitars and in the late 70s, a guy named Grover Jackson came to work for Wayne Charvel and eventually suggested that Charvel capitalize on the guitar hot rodding phase that was inspired by guys like Eddie Van Halen. So they started building limited numbers of one off guitars on a custom order basis. In the early 80s, Wayne Charvel sold the business to Grover Jackson and Grover Jackson started expanding the line with production model Charvel's. Enter Randy Rhoades and the Concord V. The very first Jackson branded guitar. After a few ownership changes that saw Charvel become the import brand and Jackson the USA brand, Fender bought the company and has helped to revive both brands by improving both quality and reputation. The black Charvel strat you have here is a model 1 that was actually made in Japan. These are outstanding guitars for the money when you can find them. They didn't sell as well as the company in San Antonio had hoped. They're killer guitars though. If you've ever played the one you have, you understand. Have an awesome day dude.

too bad Fender has become a massive buyer of companies... and the companies that they bought exist as brands only and are no longer original, innovative, or exceptional in quality. The fact is, that you can't buy a new Jackson today. you can buy something that looks like one from 15 feet away, but it's just another mediocre guitar from Fender Corp.

Charvel guitars was a thing before Jackson guitars. Grover Jackson worked for Wayne Charvel and Randy Rhodes came to Grover to have a V guitar made. Grover didn't want to put the Charvel name on it, so they branded it "Jackson" and that's how Jackson guitars was born. Jackson and Charvel guitars were made in the same factory. That's why the company was known as Charvel/Jackson at one point.

I'm gonna be selling a bunch of guitars both modern and vintage. I'll have to reach out and see if you're interested in anything. I believe that Charvel might be a model 1A from the 80s. Should have a three spring fulcrum tremolo with a basswood body. Pretty cool Guitar I wouldn't mind having in my collection. They only came in two colors, black and red. It's worth about $600.
