not with that wood frame. It takes long enough to build wood wings, I wouldn't want to spend another year building a wood fuselage and empennage.

Having built a number of aircraft from wood, I can honestly say that it is no longer to build it than building a plane from steel or a wing from aluminum. It goes together very quickly because all the pieces are copies, thus when you build the wing ribs - you build them all at the same time. Most Fisher / Min Max Aircraft can be built in as little as 250 to 350 hours. The Ultralight Flyer

@John Foley aircraft wood is different. Since water isn't contacting unless it's raining, rot is not an issue. The De Havilland mosquitos proved that well using Synthetic adhesives and fiber glass surface covering.
