Zippo Butane Single Torch Insert review

I have one Zippo with the butane insert and it is a very good product. It’s made in China not in the USA as the normal zippo insert. But I am very happy to see the overall quality. It works flawlessly. Made in China doesn’t mean bad quality. iPhones are made in China and they are very high quality. Depends on who is designing and supervising the product. In this case it’s very well done by Zippo. With one single butane charge and using it for 10 days, three to four times a day, it is still working just fine. I didn’t do anything special except filing it for 10 seconds with butane. It was ready to work one minute after being removed from its box. I am not a smoker. I carry a lighter just to have the capacity to light a fire if needed and for the beauty of having a Zippo in my pocket. For the butane insert itself, it is perfect. No worries anymore about fuel leak and lighter which will dry. But to me it’s not the same thing as a normal Zippo, there is no fun lighting it. It’s a perfect tool, but just a tool. I bought it for that and as a backup in case of. It’s in my tool box ready to provide fire with 100% chance to work. But for my EDC, it’s my normal beautiful Zippo. I can play with it, lighting it as many times as I want, looking at the flame and feeling very happy about it. You don’t get that with the butane model. I enjoy refilling the fuel and the maintenance needed with the normal Zippo. Just a question of choice. If you don’t like it then the butane insert is your solution 😉

100% spot on truth. I had been waiting for a real Zippo quality torch insert cause like you said most butane lighters and inserts are trash. So I was super bummed when it started to shit out 2 weeks after I got it. I watched your video... Did what you said... And now you are my new hero sir cause it works great. And it works EVERYTIME which is HUGE in my book. Awesome

Try the plastic freezer trick fill it place a cut corner of the bag before putting the insert in SAVES FUEL !!!

Sadly, the product is trash, i had to replace it already twice in 4 months, and the new one stopped working after 10 days or so

This product is a piece of garbage, do not buy one. I bought 2 of them. Returned them both. They will flame out after about 8 to 10 lites and just stop working. I had to adjust it after about 2 lites as it kept flaming out until it was maxed out. Drained all the fluid tried it again same results. I returned the one and the replacement did the same thing. It would not stay lit no matter what I did. Go buy a thunderbird I had that insert for about 2 years with no issue. This zippo insert gets 2 👎👎

@@smokeintheair To be frank, I never knew anyone who cared much about how to light a Dutch Masters. You flick the lighter or strike the match and you're ready to go. Not every cigar is a premium product, and even when it comes to those: Che lit his Cohibas with a fluid lighter, and he inhaled. Go figure.

Why were you waving the lighter around so much, some of us have problems with vertigo and nystagmus. It is extremely annoying. You gave a good explanation and then made watching the video very difficult with the quick movement of the lighter.
