I will say, in addition to being truly windproof and easily rechargeable, it lights cigarettes (of whatever variety 😏) just fine when you put the tip of the cigarette directly into the plasma arc. Fits perfectly into my patent number marked 1941 replica case and makes a great "retro-meets-modern" EDC lighter!

Electric inserts in a vintage Zippo are reminiscent to the Jaguar E-Type with an electric engine. Old car, new electric engine. Old lighter, new electric insert. Thing is just though, having to replace the battery once it wears out and where to get those replacement batteries. Would be interesting to see those new inserts from Zippo inserted on a Barcroft or a Lady Bradford Table Lighter.

I have three eletric zippo inserts and two out of the three I can take in and out of there case easily. one I can't its like it's stuck. Is there anything I can do to make this one easier to take in and out the case?

I to warp it with paper on both side of the insert. Its work very well.

I could never carry it as my main lighter, there's just too many times I need an actual flame but it is handy to have around.✌️

The normal width of cigarettes are not able to make contact with the arc u have to burn by tilting the cigarette, plus it's way too down, it should be on top, waste of money to be honest, a 10 dollar normal arc is great in comparison

The plastic around "arc beam" is melting from my cigarettes being shoved down it. So im inhaling burnt plastic everytime. Kinda worrisome. Wish zippo would fix it. Or make end metal.

Went hunting for fluid for my chrome blue (mini size-wont fit) d mottled brass one and orange matte plus all the others. I've got another arc lighter already but it's a stick format and is pretty crap at holding a charge. If anyone can. Do it right hopefully it's zippo. In any case I'll be finding out around 2pm. I guess we do need to get right down on it with this one too eh? Ah well screw it, if it holds a charge im happy. These arc lighters are the only actual windproof ones. (Zippos don't work in hurricanes too good. Most of em. The chrome blue is a little better and the old school smaller size still has it my favorite

Seems pretty durable though it will require a brushing off of the nodes once in a while as ash and carbon accumulate there. For the price, I'm happy with it but I have only used it as support, not my main lighter.✌️

Nope, don't waste your points. It's good for lighting commercially produced tobacco cigarettes and open ended joints only. If you're talking about Marlboro Rewards points, that Majestic Views Zippo is a good use of points.✌️

It could be used with weed but you have to be familiar with it's operation. Double or more click slow. Don't over click you'll have that legendary Richard Pryor routine.

Owning an electric lighter is much like owning an EV (Electric Vehicle). You recharge it instead of refuelling it. And the more you use it, the shorter its battery capacity becomes, until its battery lifespan becomes way too short it could no longer carry a charge you have to eventually replace the entire insert and buy a new one.

This is soo idiotic, the main purpose why zippo was such a hit was because of its flame using a very old most ancient technology of lanterns. Being successful in making them smaller

I don't have any problem with Zippo trying to upgrade or provide multiple options. This method of lighting up is just limited. It's not even the facsimile of a flame, more like lighting one off an electric range burner.✌️
