I had so many i threw a bunch in a bucket of green salt water i have outside. Let them grow to adults to feed my larger fish. Highly recommend this. The Brine shrimp hatchery disc is good but doesn't make enough for my needs

I liked the correction from baking powder to 'Baking Soda' for soft water areas, out of the tap chlorine is okay to help egg shell opening is nice thing. Just got mine from Aquariumcoop and eggs, watching a lot of vids (Cory has some hack vids and tips) filled with water and salt overnight sans eggs so far, need a few more degrees heat to ensure full hatching potential. Don't have very many tanks/mouths to feed so I'll have to do the math and scale down the measurements by half or less. Nice video, my box had no instructions maybe that's par for the course but there are a plethora of info on Y.T. et al, so I'm well informed, Did a few of my own hacks while I was at it with one way air line etc. Thanks

It's fun. I did my first last night. I didn't harvest that many. But after watching his other brine shrimp video, I was educated to that fact that my water is soft, and to add a pinch of baking soda. So I did that tonight, 2 Tbs of sea salt and just under half a TBS of eggs. We'll see after work tomorrow😀

I like your tutorials. Short and to the point. I will have to look up your homemade brine shrimp hatchery. I did make one myself. In my basement with whatever light comes in and using 3 year old eggs that I have stored in my freezer. Temperature was about. 70 degrees. Took about 5 days and they did hatch. I put in though a tablespoonful of eggs though in the 2 liter container. It was hard to separate the eggs from the fry. Any ideas on how to do that?

@PrimeTimeAquatics4 жыл бұрын
Mine seem to leave the unhatched alone. What you will often see is two layers towards the bottom - a bottom layer where the unhatched eggs may be and just above that a layer with hatched brine that are moving. Try to pull from that layer if you are having that problem.

Jason, unfortunately I am returning the one I purchased, now I just got a email finally back from them that is not covered in the video unfortunately is the email says they sell all the products you showed here seperatly. I was doing brine shrimp with a dyi homemade system but was wanting more obviously so I will open a claim with PayPal and ship this one back. What a shame as I was thinking about a second one but now I do not want any. Just my money back. It's just not right they can't send the basic adapters to their own product if nothing more but I thought I would update you for other customers not aware. I respected your review until I found the truth. Behind this system unfortunately.

I just thought it would come with the basics, not the full thing for near $50 so therefore I do not feel this is worth it and it's a shame really but it is what it is. The design is nice though. The pump, tubing is not needed obviously, most aqurium keepers have that laying around. But buying this system is like buying a new car or truck without the tires or motor. Lol.

Please don't hang this on the side of your tank you guys. I bought one yesterday, hung it on the side of a tank that was probably a bit small (60L) and it was fine until I went to bed. Got up 7 hours later to find the tank drained, killing about 50 month old goldfish fry. It's a LOT of weight to hang on the side of the tank, and if I hadn't been so busy & had thought about it more, I'd have waited and made a rail to hang it from. Hope someone can learn from my loss.
