My favorite thing about the atlas is that even though there are optimized ways of speccing it, when it comes to fun there aren't really any bad choices. Even though I often use guides when speccing my atlas a lot of the times I do my own thing.

I watch a fair bit of various "currency making strategies" out of curiosity but I never quite get to start doing them. Often times I just combine things that seem the most fun to me and I don't really care if what I do is "optimal" or not. I'm glad that the first thing that you mention is to just have fun because that is what video games are supposed to provide. Don't stress over Mr. Streamer having more currency than you and don't compare yourself to others just to feel bad. If making currency is your goal but the strategy that you are using doesn't feel good then that's an easy way to get burned out. There's countless ways to make currency no matter if it's early, mid or at the very end of the league so burning yourself out on one thing that someone told you is "the best" is never worth it

Hey Ziz, any chance of you doing an everything explained video that *starts* at maps? I have loved watching your extreme length videos, they give me a lot more of an idea of how to actually tackle getting builds *going* that I now feel confident doing it. But once I get to maps, I usually stall out. And then once I finally get maps going and get my atlas 95% done, I stall out again. I really like the extreme length videos, they give me way more context for decision making, though I bet they also take a lot of effort.

I think this is where the majority of POE players are at. There are walls in progression that can only be overcome by either God-gamer skill and knowledge or large amounts of currency. I will have neither, so I find that my end game now ends at early red maps. Used to make it to T-16s before the player power nerf in 3.15. Most players will never have the currency to have DPS and five layers of defense.... that does not come cheap.

@@rednab2001 I think it comes down to the right builds for new players. Poison BV, RF JUG/INQ, are both solid and cheap builds for new players. Lolcohol's poison bv, while not super great, can support T16 maps with sub-optimal gear and the right map rolls. And Pohx has a great RF build that easily gets you to T16.

a tip is get rings and jewels and see if they have high life with resist, you can pop those for 5c sometimes you find a banger like today i found a cobalt with Chaos Dot multi / life / resist, sold almost imediattly for 1 div

Heh, you were just overthinking it before. It should only take a few seconds to place everything. I don't mean 8-10 seconds- I mean like 3. The real benefit of the new node is it applies all the mods to all the monsters instead of tiering them up.

My best currency farming right now is Harvest + Incursion boss rush farm. A locus of corruption will sell for around 155c but is a bit RNG. The new keystone also helps farming maven fun as the added bosses can also drop Conq, Cortex, and Elder/Shaper guardian maps. I probably sold only 2 invitations from the other pinnacle bosses. My best currency farm for last League was Incandescent farming and then spamming maps where I can quickly get to the boss. If you get the chance of dropping chaos orbs from altars, then better. Harvest I do as "passive income" as i can sell 8-9k lifeforce for 1 div. But you can probably switch it to Metamorphosis or Delirium.

Im in the spot where im having fun with Beyond+Deli+Expedition, but i feel like my dps is a bit low once i hit 8 rewards. I can end at 9 most of the time if i kill the boss, but idk if itd be more efficient to get to 7 and just end deli to save time. This video was really broad. I would have preferred more in depth information. Not everyone is playing deadeye on dunes so what are my options as a bowser for profit? Running guardian maps and running the guardian invitation? Or just buying the guardian fragments and running the shaper/elder invitation?

The problem with giving out exact strategies is that the second a creator does that, the market is instantly flooded and the prices go to the floor. There's plenty of material on youtube to absorb for ideas on currency making, the best things to do are generally not popularised and you'd need to work out.

I got 2 divines random drop while I was leveling my heisters, that helped me get full gear except for an aegis aurora, ran a contract only atlas passive tree as an arakaali's fang build, after I got 17 blueprints I just decided its time to run some, made 12 divs off getting 2 orbs of tampering and 1 of tailoring, 400 div cards and a lot of filler currency I sold for a divine, all in about 10 hours of playing, decided I was bored, went to play normal poe, mapping, collected enough elderslayer fragments to run elder for 3 runs, got 2 watchstones, 1 sold for 1 divine, 1 sold for 100c, I got both fragments, did shaper 4 times, finally got the top fragment and did uber elder, watcher's eye with only ones listed going for 20 divines, I got lowest rolls so I put it for 15 and sold it in 10 minutes, you can't even predict that volatility, I can't even think of a build to play anymore, I turned mine from 10mdps into 16mdps with just 3 more divines, I'll probably have the squire by tomorrow and quit the league, I did everything I wanted and it's not even week 3, great state for the game, poor timing as was for Cyberpunk's release now with Baldur's Gate 3

its actually simple to farm currency, the main point its that some mechanics do a better job delivering that "brute currency reward" sensation, for example eapedition you can see the chaos growing in your inventory after a tujen session of rerolls, but for breach you may run 10 maps and just get some few splinters.

Blight is a good way in my opinion. Spec your atlas tree for it. You can find Atlas trees for Blight on the web. Not the best to get rich but it is fun (if you like tower defense) and new player-friendly. Opening the chest ate the end is like opening X-Mas boxes :D

You've got the right idea. As a top end player this is the way to farm solo until you have a zoom zoom mageblood setup. Just make sure you're doing it right: carcass+gilded blight+oil tier compass. ~100c profit per map

the only turn off i have for doing maps or playing this game in general, is too much loot clicking. even with the changes we've had, i still don't find it any fun clicking on currency on the floor. i can definetly skip anything below a chaos, but that would make me get no profit. i really wish they would add auto loot. it most likely will be some chaos in the beginning, but it will settle eventually imo

They'll never add autoloot. They've commented on this a bunch of times over the last decade. Your best bet is to edit your filter and start filtering out items that are not valuable, or pretty much anything under a chaos. At this point in the league, picking up things like chance orbs, jewellers or fusings, splinters etc is simply a waste of time.

My biggest problem is getting scarabs and sextants. It takes massive amounts of time trying to get them. To the point I don't use any because they are so hard to get. Everyone always talks about what ones to use but they never talk about how hard to get they are, how it's just not viable to use any.

There are many different ways to buy scarabs in bulk, and for compasses as well. Sextants you can generally sustain them by yourself depending on which influence you're running (you get way more sextants than you can use if you run Exarch). -Skryah

For new players, it doesn't matter what you do, you can always sell silver coins this league and they always drop and let you easily fund baseline items.

but i have the problem that i cant run most of the endgame content even if my build is not that trash. Sometimes i die 2-3 times a map while i try runnig some t16s and i can never level up because i die too much. I watched some videos about this problem and even used all my currency to get more tanky. Now my build feels like it is worse than before cant do any damage and still dying a lot. To fix this issues i needed more currency so i opened youtube again and watched some videos about money making techs in poe. I even tried to run and changed my atlas tree for that but that is not going to work because when i look into someones tech to make money even if it is no budget or no investment thing they always have a 10+m dps build that is almost invinvible in most cases. So those people can run t16s so easily and quickly with high tier builds but i cant do that and i make no money at the end of the day. What should i do? I am a new poe player and I leaguestarted for first time.

It depends on what your issues are in terms of your build. I don’t have a lot of information on your build (happy to have a look at your build if you want more specific information on your specific build). Saying that, your issue seems to be that you are having issues surviving in high tier maps. If this is the case then look at running lower tier maps to build some xp and getting some currency. There are some lower tier strats that you can look up. The other issue is that you don’t have enough defence on your character. The right defence depends on your build. But you should have decent life to start, for a new player I’d recommend having at least 180%- 200% increased life from your tree. You should obviously have resistances capped at 75% at a minimum for the three elemental res. And aim for around 0% base chaos res ( you can make SSI with less most things don’t do chaos damage but you will die fairly quickly to anything doing chaos with much less than this as a new player). Other defences depend on your build but basically you want to focus on a couple of areas and get those as high as possible. If your going armour then you want to just focus on that and also something like life leech or recovery. Same with evasion. Don’t spread out your defences trying to get a bit of each. You want a couple of main defences on top of your life pool. Look up vids on how to build good defences. I’m pretty sure cuz has a couple of vids on these topics or pm me for more details if you want. Your build might also be bad at maps. Better as a bosser for example…now that’s ok for a person that’s aiming for that, but for a new player that’s still trying to figure out maps and hasn’t cleared all the atlas progression, it can be hard. If you followed a build guide you could see if the content creator included an alternate build for clear. If not then it might be time to look up a new build designed for new players and clear speed and start over. Let me know if you want me to look at your build and we can see what can be done.

If you try to jump into t16s too quick you'll be dying too much to get xp. I had that issue so I just dropped down a few tiers for a couple hours, built up a bit of currency selling random drops like div cards, scarabs, essences and harvest lifeforce, then dumped that currency into my build and now it can blast t16 without too many issues. Spamming t16 maps is the goal but there is still a journey that needs to happen to get to that point. Streamers and content creators always seem like they can do them immediately with no issue but that's because playing the game is often their job so they get more currency, gear up faster and level up faster than the rest of us. Sometimes they even have teams of people to do their trading for them or roll maps and run with them. You don't strictly need multiple divines of investment to smash t16, league starter builds are really good for doing t16 cheaply. Ziz did an RF video with Pohx the other day and that one works perfectly fine with not a lot of investment. SSF builds are also usually pretty capable without much investment.

My strat to farm like a hero: - league start always with SSF char, and have some magic find on it - get fking lucky by finding a +1 max power charge ring on a ritual - migrate to softcore, sell the ring, feel lost because rarely you have so many currency, and do a meme expensive build Nothing specific 😂 -

CF is not really all that great for sanctum or delve, it's a speed mapper. Smashing something like legion in dunes is where it excels. For a sactum runner, you can try and farm up a bit of currency and build something like totems or SRS. Delve is a different story, you need tankiness.

I haven't watched yet but literally just spec harvest and sell the juice stacks for 1 div each, last I did it a stack of like 8k juice will sell for 1 div, it takes no time at all to gather that just mapping normally. Your gonna make 3 div every now and then guaranteed, it's like a paycheck.

i am poor in POE cuz i am poor in real life...no money = a shity pc from 5 years ago....it takes me about 2 mins to do a trade in poe due to LAG lol. every load screen in game (from leveling to maps) takes me 10 secs MIN and some times up to 30 lol.

What would interest me is what mechanics mf affects and what exactly in those mechanics. Like all of them Would be a longer video and maybe not worth but I didn’t find any video that explained every upside a mechanic has if your mf

For example breach. Does mf only affect the monsters and not the hands and do you have a higher chance to get a breach specific unique item because of the rarity boost ?

That's the beauty, you can choose to ignore and just have fun. Some people have fun chasing div per hour

@@TwoWayOrbitalStation When you chase div/hour you start to miss the point of the game. You play mechanics because this can give 7 div an hour over X mechanic only giving 5. Just on the whole I don't feel that is super healthy for the game. One because new players will hardly make a div let alone 5 or 7 div an hour. So by pushing for div an hour you price out most new players from the get go. Secondly is it really that fun when you play a game so optimized that you more or less treat it like a job. Just to me feels like we all need to step back look at the whole and see that maybe just maybe we can slow down a bit. Speed running games is fun at times but it seems to me to many are trying to make that the norm.

I think the only reason why i'm poor in this game is because i don't have mountains of time to play the actual game at my disposal. I don't have the time to figure out the pathing of my atlas tree, i don't have the time visit every single site thats supposed to speed up my progress and visiting all of them makes the progress even longer. To be fair it feels like i'm getting punished for playing the game "as intended". When i start a new league i think of a skill i want to play, i think of the class and ascendancy, i think of the setups/items i might use but all in all i work it out as i'm playing. This is how i think the game was supposed to be played. But now its just "try this build - week all 1 ubers!!!!111" and people who play the game are only using those mint fresh, right out of the crafting chamber of some poe youtuber builds and essencially print out the currency. How am i supposed to enjoy the game if trade league is basically catching up to those who don't have any responsibilities and play the game 12+ hours daily and SSF just takes too long. (I'm talking too long FOR ME, because of my life/work balance and the level of experience i have with the game, which is rather low imo). Before i would be able to accomplish anything in SSF the league would end. To sum up: if you don't want to be poor in this game, you either have to know a shittone about the game or have a lot of time on your hands to waste farming the items. Side note: To be honest this game now just became all about efficiency. Close to noone is doing anything new, most people just play copy paste builds with copy and paste atlas tree and call it a day. And devs became used to it and even tend to those at the top instead of tending to those who try to play "normally'. Or rather - those who play slower and i strongly believe there are more of those guys out there.

ARPGs are always about efficiency when there are public leagues and leaderboards and trading. That's just the nature of games. The people who play more will have more powerful items, more currency and stronger characters than the people who don't. That's just how games work.

poor is wrong word. If I'm playing ssf, can you even be poor or rich if there's no economy? You play effective and alot = you have more currency, but that's not the goal for most people. If I play 5 hours a week, I play to try builds, not to "earn currency". I earn at the work, don't need to earn in game too.

I kid you not me and my friend were just talking about this TODAY lol. We are making avg around 20divs per day each. We are non-NEET no lifers tho so playing around 5-6hrs a night after work + literally all day on the weekends unless we are hanging out. To us that number felt Extreeeeeemly low we want to double that number lol thanks for looking out for the POORS!!!

the "1 additional use from sextants you apply" node should be removed. it disincentives use of sextants yourself unless the node is allocated. better systems exist. literally the scarab node exists.

Sextants self sustain if you run red alters. Just use them, they add a ton of density to maps. And if you hit a roll on any "good" sextant you can throw it on a compass and sell it for easy money, yes - even at 3 uses there's sextants that will sell for 50-100 chaos. Given the loot, I dont think its possible to lose money on sextants tbh - even suboptimal ones that just add packs to maps are worth.

Man this game is truly starting to frustrate me, I`m so sick of watching videos and reading for hrs. Lack of info in PoE is just absurd, I fucked my 6link because i didnt know what white sockets were. Its not fun at all anymore and the crafting bench want 1500 coloring or wtf is was, thats a joke right? Does this means its going to take me 2months to get another 6link I mean I have maybe gotten 100 of them in one week, There has to be a way around this right? This shit is going to take me months, I need the 6link before Maven and Most of my items needs 3+red thats near impossible to get on evasion pieces it seems. Every time I want to change one piece is near impossible for me to get it because of the red sockets, Sure I can use the bench for that but then I wont have enough to get linked. This is so fucking frustrating, I have burned my brain for hrs. If someone got any tips for me pls tell me, I havent loved a game this much since Diablo2 but the progress for me feels so awful because of one mistake, This doesnt feel good at all. Do I really need to start over again?

BTW, you can (at least by early maps) get off socket easily on your 4-socket items. Craft them as two socket. Craft them as two red. Craft a third socket. If it's not red, craft it two socket again. Craft three to two to three until it rolls red. If you're trying to do this with something already 6-linked, then you try to get it rolled with rarer colors and then use vorici to randomly give you white sockets and hope it lines up where you want... if not, try again. If it's 6-linked corrupted then you use tainted chromatics. These ignore stat requirements which means it's easier to get off-color... but it's also harder to get a lot of the same color.

Item quality also increases the chance of getting off colors. Google for Vorici calculator and method for example. We all learned a few things by bricking something during the years. You maybe can buy a 6-link item for relatively cheap for your need.
