GT7 looks incredible! Is the upgrade to a ps5 for this game worth it or is it fine on the ps4? (4KTV) Played GT2 as a kid, reminisced and got GT Sport on the ps4 but it’s not the Gran Turismo I expected.

@@BioBlaz3 I don't know about the difference between running GT7 on PS4 or PS5. My PS5 is the first new one for since the PS2 20 years ago! I think you'll like GT7. It IS very reminiscent of the original game, and the car collection aspect of it is steeped in historical detail. I am really enjoying it.

I like the original track layout a lot more than the new one they brought to GT7. It would have been cool if they included an original version of the remade tracks, but with the visuals of the new ones.

The new track layout it's not bad, just different. Anyway, the improvements between Gt2 and Gt3 are huge. Gt2 is a 1999 game and it swows its age, Gt3 is a 2001 game, but is seems 10 years younger still today. Corious the fact that in Gt2 the Pennzoil Gtr had 700Hp and was 4wd 😅

Now with the refresher in the older incarnations I remember the trees overhanging on the long back-straight with the light rays streaming down onto the centre of the track. Without sounding too critical, because with GT7 we're spoilt quite frankly, but I wonder why that's now been omitted - performance gains or simply cosmetic reasons? Even in the next short section after the sweeping yellow-chequered left-hander at the end of that back-straight, the trees again are cut back with no tree tunnel to drive through. I suppose we have this new tunnel feature half way down this straight-away with its roof openings which breaks up the scenery but always loved the light rays shining through the canopy. None the less, appreciate the blast from the past comparison.

Going from last playing Gran Turismo mainly on PS1 (GT2) and barely playing GT3 A-Spec at all, both in third person, to now playing GT7 on only in-car driver cam, the difference is astonishing. Wow, I love this track on GT7, but didn't even recognize it as the one I used to play some 20 years ago.

Can't help but notice how GT3 appears to look better than GT4, 5 and 6... I always felt this when I was playing them, but seeing them side-by-side it's quite obvious! I remember the advertisement on TV for GT3 when I was a lad, where they showed a car parking up on the side of Special Stage Route 5, giving up on the race just to admire the scenery and graphics. A couple days later, I rented it from the video store, on over-night loan. Played it for probably 18 hours... Bought it the next day! I hate to think about how many hours I spent playing that game, but I think that was the most use a video game console has ever had from me.

PD could add a simple medium curves on the very last sector of GT7s Trial Mountain resembling the original layout that allows you to 'yeet' over the hill. That flat ground around the final chicane is flat enough for a simple gentle curves

It’s still surreal to me how that dead tree at the end of the back straight turned out to be the tree in the inside of the apex in GT7. It’s like they were alluding it this whole time. As for the layout, the old one didn’t have any overtaking opportunities as it was fairly short. Sure - yeeting your car at the chicane is fun, but in terms of the actual racing itself the new layout makes you planted more as well as giving your car a chance to prove its top speed. Especially in neck-to-neck combat, those long straights give you time to rest before zigzagging through the forest again. No more do I mind should PD redo the layouts of their tracks; I just want them back in GT7 (especially Grand Valley Speedway and Autumn Ring).

from GT2 to GT PSP, the car sounds amazing and classic, but in GT5 & 6, the car sounded like complete sh*t!, but amazingly, in GT7, it has the same sound from GT2 through GT PSP, and i'm glad they did that, cause if you listen very closely, you can hear the classic engine sound from GT2

I love Gran Turismo, and I play it since GT4. Good game, but I am a bit disappointed about the physics. It is too understeery for my taste. 7 was good befor the newest update, but now it is just insane that in a 600hp Enzo with RH tires in 2nd gear I can just jump on the trottle mid corner and nothing happens. The game is still cool, it is just sad that people dont want a sim, but an arcade, so PD delivers...

I hated GT sport, it was the worst GT ever. But it brought a lot of these online e sport kind of guys into the game. Most of the long term GT players skipped sport and waited for GT7. The problem is these guys that play GT sport are all over youtube and made a big fuss about the handling of GT7 and the result is.. Under pressure from those weirdos that have a loud voice on youtube the game has been completely ruined on the 1.13 patch. It did need a little more grip but it did NOT need to be GT sport. Now we have a new game with 10 year old handling.

The handling before the update was incredibly flawed, GT3 car shouldn't behave like they do in the game, they would snap, and try to kill the driver on any given moment. Those machines are developed for endurance racing, they are planted and grippy. The best thing they could do at this point is fine tune the handling a bit. The physics doesn't feel like gtsport to me at all.

Tolle Runden. Hier sieht man besonders deutlich, warum sich GT 7 nicht mehr lohnt. Von Teil 1 bis Teil 6, incl. aller Prologen, blieb das Layout der Strecke unangetastet, weil die Strecke als Anspruchsvoll und Interessant galt. Die Umgebung ist toll geworden - zugegeben, ich fahr aber auf der Strecke und wofür musste jetzt das Layout geändert werden??? LANGWEILIG & ANSPRUCHSLOS. Damit überhaupt noch Jemand das Spiel spielt, musste man unbedingt die Belohnungen erhöhen. Schade, so macht man eine tolle Serie mit einem langerwarteten Nachfolger, zu einer Sinnlosigkeit seiner Selbst.

@@derriethelm1524 Wenn man als Purist einen gewissen Anspruch an Strecken hat, ist es Schade, dass Originalstrecken wie Trial Mounten und Deep Forest - so Massiv geändert werden und dabei jegliche charakteristische Eigenschaften, wie Blinde oder nach Außen hängende Kurven, die technisch sehr Anspruchsvoll waren - entfallen oder so geändert werden, dass man Anstelle einer sehr schnellen Mut- Schikane, jetzt nur noch einen Bremspunkt hat, an dem man so gut wie nichts Falsch machen kann, verliert man sehr schnell das Interesse. Der persönliche Anspruch ist auf hohem Niveau, jede Runde perfekt und schneller als die vorangegangene Runde hin zubekommen. Also ja, um auf Deine Frage zu Antworten.
