Let's be honest she wouldn't have got as far as she did if her father hadn't been who he was. Sad she lost her mother, but unlike most people she is wealthy enough to be able to take time off to grieve. Like many people I stopped listening to radio 2 when they got rid of the brilliant talented presenters such as steve wright, ken Bruce, Paul o'Grady etc. Replacing them with over paid less talented people. Commercial radio is far better

1.3 million quid?!! For what exactly? She’s always off. I appreciate she’s had a difficult time. We’ve all lost a parent(s) or will. I had a week compassionate leave for both my parents. That was it. I loved my parents v much but I had to get back to work; I needed the money. She has more than a bit of slack financially to step back, unlike the majority of us who just have to carry on.

Exactly she was never on air for some reason or other always i'll. I emailed the BBc and asked if she was getting sick pay (paid by us the license holders and they declined to say) Gary Davis job all day long, a much better presenter!

Yes I had 2 weeks off when I lost my dad , then a couple of days when mum passed, I also loved mine very much ,but even though I'm not a zoe fan grief takes people in different ways, so I'm giving zoe some slack on this regardless of her being well overpaid.

I once saw Johnny Ball live: this would have been the early '90s (roughly) , when he put on a great little entertainment show at my high school. The show he performed was comedy based, but with a *mathematical* *underbelly* ; I remember it well. I have always loved Johnny Ball, and I am aged 47 ... As for Johnny's beautiful daughter Zoe... I really do wish her well: I cannot state in mere words how much it would *gladden* *my* *heart* to see her career *fully* *revived* - and flourishing again - once she returns to work full time.
