Never used to listen to Zoe in the mornings, but glad Scott Mills is taking her place as I really miss Radio 2 in the afternoons. Couldn't listen to Scott Mills after the wonderful Steve Wright was sacked. Just wasn't the same. Fingers crossed Helen Thomson will put someone decent in Scott Mills place.

The head of BBC Radio 2 is Helen Thomas actually & Trevor Nelson who currently hosts his show 10pm to midnight Mondays to Thursdays will take Scott Mills' slot on the weekday afternoons. DJ Spoony will take over Trevor Nelson's shows & Sophie Ellis-Bextor will take over DJ Spoony's shows on Friday evenings 9pm to 11pm. Hope this helps.

@@matthewvwuk Thank you, but how disappointing with Scott Mills' replacement. I used to love Radio 2, until Helen Thomson took over! Thank heavens for Greatest Hits Radio, Radio 3 and Radio 4. I'm sure it won't be long before the BBC spoil R3 & R4 though.

Who cares? Radio 1 and 2 are finished. 1 especially as it is as though you are listening to an R and B and MOBO dedicated station. Both have access to an astonishing back catalogue of the greatest music in history but instead rigidly adhere to such a narrow playlist governed by woke stupidity.

I was quite surprised to hear Zoe Ball announce that she will be stepping back from the Radio 2 Breakfast show this morning on the radio to 'concentrate on family' & come next year may appear back on BBC Radio 2 at some point when she deigns to tell us as to what she will plan to do. I can remember only too well her first Breakfast show on BBC Radio 2 back in January 2019 & her time on BBC Radio 1 as well. I have to admit Zoe Ball has not been the best of DJs & tends to 'let her tongue run away with her' as such from time to time but I do wish her all the best in whatever she chooses to do next year on BBC Radio 2 & I wish Scott Mills all the best for next year as he takes over as the host for the Radio 2 Breakfast show. I thought he did well in sitting in for Zoe Ball when she had to take time off for her mother etc.
