Any advice on how to get over calorie counting? Any advice really helps! Btw I love your vids!!!
@zoealexiswongg4 жыл бұрын
Thank you beautiful! What helped me was becoming aware of WHY I was so tempted to count calories, and when I became clear that it was fear of losing control and not being "enough," I found affirmations to repeat to myself that countered those negative thoughts! I also focused more on the quality of the food and the good it was doing for my body rather than the caloric content. Understanding that calories is just another way to say energy made it a lot easier too! If you think about it, does consuming too much energy seem like such a bad thing? Not really! It just means you'll have more energy to pursue your passions and immerse yourself in all life has to offer! :) I'm rooting for you!

i really need help with eating. i want to eat but im scared to gain weight even eating healthy food. do you have any advice?
@zoealexiswongg4 жыл бұрын
try looking at food as something more than calories. Instead, focus on the experience behind eating, like the memories you might create with family and friends, and the nourishment it is providing your body to allow you to function and thrive! The fear of eating is losing control, but it's so important to realize that you have always been in control. The ED doesn't want you to think you have control, but you do!! 💖

Hi! I am sorry to bother you, but I would like to hear your advice. I am now followed by a nutritionist and the last time he weighted me I had lost weight. That is because I have been overexercising and eating too little, but I didnt tell him that, I simply told him that I have no idea how it happened. He hasn't increased my mealplan yet and so I do not know if I should stop exercising or keep doing it but at a slower pace. I am afraid that, if I stop completely I'll gain too much and he'll understand that I have been lying to him and my family. What do you suggest me to do?
@zoealexiswongg4 жыл бұрын
Hi beautiful! From what I can see, it does not look like you have a healthy relationship with exercise right now. I would invite you to take a step back and reevaluate your relationship with it and the role it plays in your life. Ask yourself: What does exercise do for me? How does it make me feel? What are other ways I can feel that way that don't involve vigorous movement? A lot of people in recovery think by stopping exercise they will gain weight "too fast" or "loose control." that is so far from the truth! Know that you never lost control, it has always been with you. The more negative thoughts you conjure up in regard to your recovery, the more likely they are to manifest into your current reality. So do your best to stay positive! Taking rest is a beautiful way to show your body love and compassion for all that it is doing for you! I hope this helps! You can do this! One of the first steps in recovery is being honest with yourself and others!

@@zoealexiswongg thank you so so much, you were really helpful. I'll do my best to not exercise anymore, especially if I haven't eaten enough...

@@giuliadelaj yes! all the fuel you are currently receiving needs to be prioritized and sent to help repair your organs and other important body systems first before exercise can even be considered !
