I’d LOVE to see Belu make a KZbin channel!! So many sewing tutorials on KZbin just give the bare minimum information, without including anything about technique or finishes. I feel like I always learn about nicer finishes from Belu, and I appreciate that she tries to include as much helpful information as possible. I would LOVE if Bela started her own channel (or did a lot of guest videos here!). I grew up in a puppet circus sewing their costumes since I was 7 and even though I've been making my own clothes for almost 20 years and worked in an alterations shop for a while there's still so much about finishing and high end construction I don't know.

Hey Zoe loving the hat. I have done welt pockets and flap pockets for suits and so forth many moons ago. My ancestors never really had pocket clothing because they didn't have the need. Great construction video the detail is in the planning. Than you still catching up on all your videos.

Love this video😍. Pockets appear simple but it's a subtle detail that makes a big difference. You can tell the difference between a high end reinforced pocket versus a very quickly made seam pocket on fast fashion items.

Great tutorial Zoe and Belu, love the high end finishes. What I would like to see is how to do a very neat facing edge, I usually overlock the edge but that is not very high end, if I turn it over or add a bias edge it seems to bulky. I am sewing the VikinSwews Edwige Blouse, I do the French seams so the inside looks ver clean and neat, but the facing looks cheap, so any tutorials along this line would be great. Great information, thank you.

Thank you Deb!... and good question! What I've seen more often for neat finishing with facing (meaning without topstitch on the right side of the pocket) is serging the edge (long stitches to reduce bulkiness), and then turn it over and topstitch the facing edge (without stitching the pocket). That is just one more layer along the facing edge. It shouldn't be a problem. An even more refined finish is applying a blind stitch (on the facing edge). But I'll still fold it over. I hope it helps! Belu

How are patch pockets attached to a sports coat by machine stitches? Other than the hand stitch method. I don’t understand how the machine stitches are hidden on the inside of the pocket, while only the pick stitching is visible. Any resources would be helpful, thanks
