Very useful video, thank you. Can I just suggest for the viewers that using a tiny piece of contrasting thread and going through the fabric with a hand sewing needle would be a lot better for marking the fabric for pockets etc rather than poking through the layers with an awl. It’s not good practice. 😊

Thank you, that’s a great suggestion. I suppose you could also mark with chalk or fabric marker too. The awl holes are what they taught at fashion school for industry manufacturing, but that method is probably best saved for heavier fabrics.
