Fashion Illustration Tutorial: Sequins (Part 2/2)

I have a lot of different ways I render sequins, in a variety of media, depending on the specific fabric swatch I'm using, so I split my sequins tutorial into two videos.

molotow white paint markers are awesome too. and they come in a ton of sizes. they're also super opaque. I think they use acrylic paint.

Do you have any tips on rendering ostrich feathers? Or is it similar to fur?

+FabulousImpulse You can approach them similarly to fur, especially the dry brush technique I show in my video. I do have a request for feathers and it's queued for August.

+FabulousImpulse Pearls are not white. Not real or good fakes, anyway. I like to add a tiny dot of gel pen to each pearl for a subtle highlight. White for regular pearls, silver for silver pearls. Careful with your line quality so that you're not drawing thick, solid, clumsy comic book lines around each pearl. Add drop shadows behind the pearls, especially those in clusters.
