Please do get w rescued one, animals that come from pet stores are brought from puppy mills which if you don't know what it is you can look it up, they're absolutely horrible and buying an animal from a pet store supports the mills

I got a puppy about two months ago and I think it's a great option if you want a puppy. There are a lot of misconceptions about shelters. Many shelters have purebred dogs and puppies. I'd like to encourage everyone to adopt a pet in need.

Please please PLEASE consider adopting as your first option when getting a dog. Lots of breeders are very responsible and that's great, but the number of dogs sitting in RSPCA/Dog's Trust/Animals in Need kennels desperate for a loving home is huge. And I promise your dog won't love you any less because you got them when they were a bit older!

As a vet student, I'm just going to say is that everything you said here is correct, I think that sometimes people don't know what is to have a dog and all the things it needs. You have millions of followers and I think is good that you talked about this, I hope people start to think more before buy or adopt a dog or another kind of pet :D As always, I loved this video :3

I love dogs so much, I had a small chihuahua, but we couldn't keep him, it was okay at first but it got harder to keep the dog happy and well, we took care of him well but we didn't feel we was being fair to him, we could take him out for walks much, we gave him the best we could but the way we lived our lives, didn't co fit well with the dog. So we gave him to a family who could. It was sad but I knew and know it was for the best. Another tip to add on to zoes, if you can't handle to dog please give it to someone who can. Beacause it's unfair to the dog and you, your dog deserves to be happy and you do to. Love you zoe

I rescued 3 dogs. A lab mix, a Great Dane/Boxer mix, and a German Shepherd mix. It was crazy for a while but they've settled in well. Lol. Oh plus I'm married with two children and I'm currently pregnant. Love this video!!

I 100% agree that breed is something everyone who wants a dog need to think about, I have a Labrador and a Husky, and it is sooo annoying to me when people buy Huskies without doing any research, because they nearly always end up in Leigh Cats & Dogs Home a year later. Huskies are very particular in personality, and owning one can be a struggle when it comes to their howling tendencies, pulling instincts and prey drive. They don't necessarily need hours and hours of walking but they will 100% run forever if you let them, which means they can over-exert themselves easily... It's just little things that people really should consider when getting a certain breed, I feel like people just see the cuteness and buy then just for their looks nowadays :(

It was very interesting to watch this video because getting my puppy was a completely different experience. My family adapted a 10 month old puppy that was abused in his previous home. Bringing him home he was very shy and not energetic at all. He would hide in corners and jump at every sound. He never had an accident in the house or chewed up anything and walks very well on a lead. Slowly he is coming around but is no where near as energetic as Nala!

I've owned six dogs in my life so far the first was a Great Dane, the second was a Boxer, the third was a Jack Russell , then we got a second Jack Russell, we now own just two dogs one is a cockapoo, and the other is a husky/border collie mix. Our other dogs sadly passed away. But I love dogs ❤️❤️❤️

My boyfriend and I got an American Eskimo named Luna about a month ago and today she turns 3 months old! How fitting. Getting a puppy is definitely overwhelming, haha. They chew on everything (including you), run around everywhere, and go potty on the floor... But at the end of the day you can't really imagine your life without them. ❤️

Just a heads up. You can know the personality of a dog and such things for a stray dog/puppy. The shelter, with little time, can know the personality of the dog, if it's really active or not, if it's afraid of certain things or not and usually the right process of adoption consists initially of the adaption fase to see if the dog will adapt well to your home and such things.

Hi Nala! My family had a toy poodle. He lived for 17 and half years. Poodles don't shed cleaner house! He was the sweetest little man and friendly and funny and everyone just loved him me included! I miss him like crazy! He did not drool either!

This is definatly a sign! I've always wanted a dog but stayed away from the idea as I knew when he/she died, I'd be broken! 😣 However my uncle said if you give the dog proper care and love, they will have a long happy life. Now the only problem is which breed I should get. I'm in love with the golden retriever but it's too big for my liking. I prefer a dog nalas size. A boo pomeranian seems perfect but I need to know it's nature (is it loving, stubborn, loyal etc.)

I got my first puppy in october last year and it really hit me how much they are like children! mine's a st bernard, so he's huuge aswell. He got toilet trained so fast, but walking him is still a bit of a hassle. They bring you so much joy and love
