HI Clint, i'm in North Pole Alaska and have been trapping above the Arctic Circle for a tad over 50 years now. I heard you mention Temagami. When i was in my twenties I guided canoe trips in that area and then led a trip from Great Slave Lake to Baker Lake at the edge of Hudson Bay. Have a safe season and a blessed Christmas. Dave S

Dave! Thanks for sharing that! Temagami is a magic place and I've been dreaming of a trip into Baker Lake country for years. Would love to hear that story. All the best to you man and good luck on your trapping grounds this year.

Just came across your channel, didn't know you had one. I think I missed you at Dan's place by a couple days. Myself and a friend are on V's line as heplers. We met when Dan and V lived down our way. Be well.

Just a thought, do you have the room to make a small loft opposite from the wood stove.? This would give you some additional storage space while maximizing living space.
@ClintZold10 ай бұрын
Howdy. Thought about that! I like the aesthetic of it being open everywhere, and also keeping the fleas outside of my sleeping area haha I'm building a workshop for all of my gear, machine and trapping/skinning stuff.
@billwilliams184210 ай бұрын
@@ClintZold Totally understand about the skinning and IF there any residue drops/oils that land of the floor. Remember Godliness is next to cleanliness. The idea of having another building would help so much with the trapping end along with having extra storage. Question: Are you concerned about predators destroying your property? Another random thought, when thinking about the loft, this project would keep you busy during the winter doldrums.
