As a manga reader since the first few chapters, this is my all-time favorite (not proclaiming it to be the greatest) piece of media for how it tackles the meaning of, well, meaning. It takes what should be dark and gritty "live to fight another day" narrative and flips it on it's head to be a "live everyday like it's your last, cause we may not get another." It takes a tone that's normally "we're all going to die" and "nothing really matters" and turns it into "We're all going to die so be sure to enjoy the living part" and "nothing really matters anymore, and that's alright." Manga is the personified meaning of the term "fuck it, we ball" and I honestly couldn't be more stoked more people are finding it due to the anime coming out. Great video, glad it came up in my recommended. Can't wait to see what comes out next!

Glad you liked my take! And yeah I agree! It's such a unique take on the zombie genre, so much so, I'd say it's not even a zombie story so to speak. It's more of a "self-discovery" story with zombies in it. I like that it tackled boredom and challenged the idea that one can indefinitely be happy while doing something they enjoy. Hello There good afternoon...How do you think about Rei X Kaworu in the rebuild doesn't it make sense?

Hello, good afternoon! Personally, I see zero evidence of Kaworu and Rei being shipped together. That final train scene to me suggested that they were simply conversing. I also think it made sense to have them be friendly towards each other since they were both pretty isolated during much of their lives. I also think they were depicted together since they were both carriers of Adam and Lilith's soul; in other words it was a symbolic nod to their past. That's just my two cents.

​@@tonyfunkOooh...Thank you actually in the first place I didn't ship Kaworu with Rei but when I know Kaworu is just helping Shinji to make him happy I change my mind (But anyway is still didn't watch the rebuild and I never saw Rei as Lilith I just saw her Lilith title only just a decoration because she's kind (because the real Lilith is evil) I think Anno just give the title Lilith to her to make it not the same like the bible and I didn't saw her as Lilith but I saw her as Eve I want to explain more but my English is not too good and well I will try to explain it sometimes if I don't forget)
