The Timetwister in Game 1 was perplexing. Joep could have just killed the Lions and attacked for 14, taking Derek to 2. There's no way Derek could have gotten out of that. It worked out for Joep but that was a really really risky play.

All these old players loved to drop or throw their cards onto the table when playing them, like it's some sort of dramatic flair for their "gotcha" moment. I'm only 5 few mins into the first game and have seen him do it 2 or 3 times now. You'll see the same thing watching old tournament footage of players like Mike Long. It's super corny.
