I am of a different view on the memorial services happening for our beloved vice president the late Dr Saulos Chilima, the comfort that comes to the family during these ceremonies is appreciated and no doubt it is honorable. But what we should consider also is the beleaved family are we helping them to move on with their lives or making them stay in one state of sorrow and grief? Let's pray that the loving God will help them to move on as these ceremonies everytime brings the memories a fresh and madam Chilima is dying gradually with these memorials. Remember that each time candles lightning and any ceremonies are conducted for madam Chilima it brings to her no healing of wounds of unforgettable death of our beloved vice president. The children needs her and if we keep on reminding her of this death she will be lost and not heal,this will affect her parental care to the children the late VP left in her care. God is our comforter and no amount of words from us as humans will heal the pain and loneliness and pain that comes if our beloved one dies. Our prayers in secret places is the most important than scratching the wound now and then.

Psychologically , memorial celebrations are good for the widow as she is supported by the community and not left alone. Mama Chilima needs to be engaged as communities remember her husband good deeds.
