$150 upgrade from the PS5 slim digital edition I was considering getting. I would need to upgrade the storage from 1Tb to 2Tb and that alone knocks off $100 of price difference between the MSRP of $450 for the PS5 slim digital edi and MSRP of $699 on the PS5 Pro ($550+tax all in and $699+tax all in respectively). Most folks spend a lot more money than $150 difference for this kind of graphics upgrade on their PC's... pretty good deal on a counsel that will be around for the foreseeable future that has exclusives that only run on it... just some food for thought.

I was planning to get a PS5 for GTA 6 trailer came out but now GTA 6 release date is pushed back. I don't think it's worth to upgrade from a 1st gen PS5 to a PRO. Got a question for the console gamers... Until last year, I was in my apprenticeship, couldn't afford one and therefore don't have a console at the moment. When the trailer for GTA VI dropped this year I told myself that I would wait for the PS5 Pro and use it as my new platform. (I used to play GTA 5 on a gaming PC, which is now completely outdated, still sitting at my parents' place, and nowadays it runs smoothly on my laptop from 2023.) For GTA 6, I'll switch to PlayStation because there probably won’t be any crossplay with PC (most of my friends who game have a PS4 Pro/PS5), my laptop is enough for what I do on the computer, and I don’t want to spend the money on a decent PC. Now the question is: What makes more sense-getting a base PS5 sometime next year, playing GTA 6 on it until the PS6 comes out 2-3 years later and then upgrading, or buying a PS5 Pro and playing on that for as long as possible? I want to play GTA VI right at release and don’t really want to upgrade soon after. On top of that, I’ll have to spend quite a bit of money for a console/controller + a new TV (my old one is 10 years old), whether it’s the overpriced Pro or a standard PS5 and then upgrading to the PS6 a few years later. What do you guys think?

Personal opinion here, but I think to play GTA 6 with full satisfaction, even regardless of price, you’ll need to buy a PS5 Pro. To future proof your opinion on this super graphics demanding game, price won’t matter. It’ll just come down to whether you have the hardware or don’t to run the game properly. It's PlayStations most expensive console ever and they make you pay 200 quid more for a disk drive on top of 700, you are getting slightly better graphics but not true next gen like ps6 will be, I'm going to skip it, I've heard amd are the chip supplier for ps6 and talks are moving forward on that nicely.

A lot of hate in the comments from looks of things but no one in my family home even has a 4k tv so we haven't got a ps5 yet, and this ps5 pro footage does look quite crisp on the side by side. But will wait to see what people think on release. I got a ps4 pro on release and it would sound like a jet taking off on the menus of MW Remastered but deadly silent in actual game, weird

Ive already pre-ordered my Playstation 5 Pro and I currently already have a Playstation 5 Slim Disc Version so I'll be sitting both consoles side by side horizontally right next to eachother for my setup. I like the idea of having two PS5s for some reason.

It's really hard to tell in the presentation because HDR content was not enabled on the KZbin video but you need special screen capturing equipment to do that which can run into the multi-thousand dollar plus stuff if you want to see the difference and it'd be huge on any device Games may run at 4K60 with RTX If developers decide to use 4K textures and put rtx on the textures themselves 😊 so the PS5 pro can do less work instead of relying on revolution rendering
