Zoodiacs grind game would be too strong, and since they mained D-barrier, you couldn't go into dingirsu. So.... And since Zoo lived off of any 1 zoodiac card, well.... They could just destroy their deck with handtraps lol.

Remington14 orcust grind power it’s also one of the things that made them so powerful and if we are being fair orcust with 3x dimensional barrier would stop any zoodiac play. Dimensional barrier vs orcust it’s not a game over. I’m not saying Zoo it’s a bad deck cause obviously it’s one of the best 5 decks of all time but it’s not as invencible as people claim.

personally, i like to play this as a going second deck with lightning storm and veiler. also, a good combo to go directly into megaclops is usually ratpier > send ramram to gy > overlay to boarbow > overlay to chakanine > detach > revive ramram > overlay drident over chakanine > drident detach chakanine > pop ramram > ramram effect bring back chakanine > overlay tigermortar on drident > detach drident > attach material to chakanine > chakanine effect again > revive drident > link to megaclops and then if you went second, target opponent card via megaclops > revive drident and attach to it. it doesn’t have to use ratpier specifically for this combo. normal summon ramram also works. you just need it in the gy to bring back with chakanine.

You should put in a Time Thief engine (3 Winder, 1 Bezel, 1 Retrograde). The Winder combos really well with any zoo monster and gives the deck some bigger pushes. Also Desires would be really good for consistency since you don’t really care about what you banish.

I've been testing a Tenyi/Zoodiac deck for a time. Having Drident back his a nice add-on for disruption, and one barrage insn't so annoying. It's easy to end on a board of Drident, Naturia beast and some Tenyi link + the counter trap for more negate. The link 4 does protect all effects monsters if you happen to have a non-effect monster on field (best if not the token he create). The deck does lack a good way to play around Nibirru. Pot of avarice at 3 is also quite good in my opinion, both Zoodiacs and Tenyies do put a lot monster in grave. Going 2nd can be painful against a well established bord, but Vishuda is good do force a reaction, and the Tenyi all being able to special summon + gaining their second effect once you got the link1 make the deck able to run for a good moment without feeling any lack of fuel. A fun deck to play, while not being top tier.

I've heard "most powerful deck of all time" given to teleDAD, (I think), dragon rulers, pepe, zoo, and sky strikers, maybe I'm forgetting a few. Spellbooks. Double helix spyral. I'd love to see a big in-depth discussion on the top 10 or so best decks, what made each of them so powerful in their format, and if possible, how they all compare to each other and if there's any way to rank them definitively. Cause obviously most of them probably saw success partially because of the other decks or cards available at the time.

Currently, main-decking Phantazmay seems to help cancel out a lot of my really bad bricks versus things like Salamangreat, yet like you mentioned, we still need things like Broadbull and potentially more Ratpier to allow this deck more power. I don't know how I like Nibiru, currently, as it seems to me that any Raidraptor Link variant can make Infinity really fast, have it on hand to negate, OR simply plays past nibiru without much worry makes me want to potentially just run kaiju slumber and 3-4 Kaiju again. Honestly I love playing around with the deck, though. I'll have to post my list on here soon as well, sad that I don't own a third copy of Chakanine. You also need to be trying out a certain boss monster that nobody seems to be trying out in this deck that I'll be happy to show off soon.

Ofc Broadbull was the problem, free +1, non-HOPT search of any Beast-Warrior, and only needs 2 lv4 to hard make when Drident needs 4 (this part was more relevant when Ratpier wasn't at one but still, it was a big deal back in 2017). Also, Broadbull + Barrage made Zoo insanely splashable, but this had been taken care of So, Drident to 3 when?

Why no desires? Seems perfect for this sort of deck - mostly 3 ofs. The only card you can potentially banish is ratpier for the search of tenki, and that's not big.

Because you don't need desires. Desires is ran as a draw spell, so if you have access to avarice, which is just pot of greed with upsides in this deck, desires becomes sort of irrelevant.

@@Juan-zs6jt Ehhh. He showed off quite a few bricky hands, yeah, but even those bricky hands allowed a lot of plays. The deck itself lives off of what is around it, and handtraps are kind of its carry basicially having a drident Megaclops engine. Your goal with this deck is to out grind, desires kind of stops that. Also, with Tenki at 3, and having barrage, and being able to draw with thoughroughblade, avarice is the only draw spell you really need. Also you run 10 zoodiacs and 4 ways to find zoos out of your deck so you should generally have access to a zoo. He showed pretty bad hands, and still did well with them. More often than not, you will have access to a zoo. If you have access to a zoo, you don't really have to much of a use for desires.

Megaclops is unaffected by monster effects like you said. Tributing all monsters on the field is a monster effect so Megaclops won't get tributed.

I think the problem with souls in this build is the fact that you can't really use it for links, unlike in most other decks, so its usually a one for one if you draw tenki or combo, but is dead otherwise
