dji records on the mic unit as well and also there is an emergency track so even if wireless receiver drops you have the audio on the mic unit

I just bought both. I use the out on the F2 and plug it into one of the DJI mics so I can monitor the F2. For like interviews and what not. No usually for weddings.

You can plug the dji transmitter into the output of the zoom and use both with one mic. Total game changer.

So you would put the mic into the F2, the transmitter into the output and the receiver on camera? And you’d have 32 float on the recorder and a regular track on the camera? Would the output of the f2 clip in a loud situation?

I think the Dji transmitter is not only a mic but it uses 24 bit gain circuitry before sending it out. but I am not sure. @@erbartlett

think the only drawback I see with DJI (though its feature packed) is the battery life if you need to mic 2 people in the field (say in like an off road shoot) for over 5 hours at a time.

Regarding the possible clipping of the Dji if the speaker gets louder: "Safety Track: A secondary audio track is recorded as a backup with a lower volume of -6 dB (different from the main audio track), which helps to safeguard your audio in case of unforeseen issues."

I have both and just plug the DJI receiver output into the F2 so I get wireless 32bit float recording.

this what I plan on also - how do you handle than sync than to video? doe's it have time code out from the F2? have a nice way to attache both the receiver and f2 on the camera?

​@@adischenker1851Works perfectly. I do not use timecode, you can sync audio easily in post (slate or Pluraleyes). Use audio recording separately from the camera, no need to attach this system to a camera.

Without giving a sarcastic response, could you explain how you can tell that the audio is clipping and what specific parts in the video are clipping the most? It's not clipping to me, so I would like to know if this is an issue I can fix in future videos. Honestly curious of your opinion. And I apologize in advance if I wrongly assumed you'd give a sarcastic answer, like 'how can you not tell?' or something like that. Cheers.

many people found interference issues when combine Rode lav with the DJI mic, have you had that problem? As i saw in your video, there was none of that which made me surprised, expecially you put the lav very close to the receiver.

To be fair that was the Lav Go, which is a much cheaper lav mic. I just bought my second RØDE Lavalier II. I use it for talking head video's from the DJI Mic into my iPhone and sometimes just the internal recording which I sync after the fact when using it for example with my GoPro. No issues whatsoever. Never had trouble up till now (about two months).
