I've been checking out a bunch of reviews by KZbinrs and even got my hands on the DJI Mic myself. Gotta say, I'm pretty stoked for the release of DJI Mic 2!

Excited about the potential of the DJI Mic 2 as a portable microphone. It's already on my future shopping list.

There is now a cut-out on the Mic2 that holds the cable under the clip. KZbin won't let me copy and paste the link but this is the title of the video, (This could save your DJI Mic 2 audio) start the video at 2 minutes

Very Nice comparison - it was interesting to see how the three compare. I too really like the Zoom F2.

I think Tubers habeen sold on wireless by influencers. It's so easy to record and sync recorded audio. It's not worth my time to deal with battery charging, bad camera pre-amps, drop-outs etc. Even if you have "backup" in your system, its time consuming to recover a drop-out from the transmitters recording. Can somone explain the advantage of wireless for KZbin vids?

Unfortunately I wouldn’t hold your breath (we probably won’t see the standalone release until next year) but it’d be a great surprise!

Thanks. You did a great job. I think the Zoom F2 was clearly the winner in sound quality. The audio sounded much more full-bodied than the DJI. The DJI is more versatile though.

GOod job men.... I have both the DJI Mic 2 waiting for the DJI Lavalier... it iwll be here on monday... and I own the Zoom F2-BT... love the zoom but I am not that crazy about the lavalier... I love the DJI as well and I think the DJI Lavalier will improve the sound a lot... for the DJI Mic 2... I will do a test and I will post it soon.

The rode sounds better than other 2

Holding the mic right in front of your mouth makes a huge difference and those with a built in mic like the dji, they are literally never right in front of the mouth. just because of that I think that the Zoom F2 is the better choice, it is more versatile, and you can hide the recorder underneath clothing for example while the other two are always in the open and visible.

Nice! But should include ZoomF2 out of the box mic as well to the test, a bit confused.
@DigitalTechReviewsTips7 күн бұрын
Totally agree (and would have in an ideal world) but my original Zoom F2 mic is in a storage unit in Colorado currently so unfortunately that wasn’t possible. I also was more interested in just testing out the recorders themselves cause I truly was just making that original video as a test for myself to see if I could replace the F2 with the Mic 2.
@rendermanpro7 күн бұрын
@@DigitalTechReviewsTips So, what's your conclusion after almost one year? And, do you think is it worth to change included mic from ZoomF2 to something like you have? I have F2, but not used much, but seen there are many not nice reviews here and there.

The Rode onboard mic sounded fifty times better than the DJI onboard mic. With the external lav I could not hear any difference. Personally I have the Rode.Wireless Pro and the Zoom F2, I love them both. The Rode is much more versatile, the Zoom is as simple as it can get.

Glad to hear someone else who’s a fan of the F2! How’re you liking the Rode Wireless Pro?
@ww1www Жыл бұрын
@@DigitalTechReviewsTipsit is close to perfect. I am sure Rode will make the necessary firmware changes and make it even to perfect. I actually liked the Wireless Go II more than the DJI Mic I, but the Pro is better in almost everything.

Do they sell a single unit dji mic2 yet - as I can use two with a DJI P3 combo.
@DigitalTechReviewsTips Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no. No kit with a RX and no single unit - and according to DJI Twitter there’s no timeline for that which I think only means we probably won’t see it before the end of the year.

@@DigitalTechReviewsTips strange when the P3 can control two mic-2 transmitters
@DigitalTechReviewsTips Жыл бұрын
I think it’s mainly due to them trying to meet the demand for the Creator Combo kit (which is sold out many places) before releasing a new product. I imagine 1-2 years down the road they’ll possibly even be selling the OP3 in a kit with two lavs aimed at people doing interviews.

I was like "Zoom sounds terrible!" Then, after it's unclipped from the shirt and brought closer to the speaking device, it's suddenly clear it's the best option.

i think dji mic 2 record only 24bit unless you had rx or osmo action 4 to chage it setting to 32bit.
@DigitalTechReviewsTips4 ай бұрын
You’re 100% right except for that you can also do it with the Osmo Pocket 3 as well. This is what I did in my case to be able to make this video testing out its 32bit recording.

Hi, the Rode Wireless Go 2 has 32 Bit too. You can export the 32Bit File with the Rode central from the backup files from the transmitter (you can change the bit depth from 24bit to 32bit). Regards Andreas
@DigitalTechReviewsTips10 ай бұрын
I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that while you can export the files from the Rode desktop application in 32bit, it is recorded in 24bit in the backup files on the transmitter. Would love to be proven wrong though as that would make me a lot more inclined to use the Rode Wireless GO 2.

@DigitalTechReviewTips Great Video! May I ask, do you ever have any problem (interference, static buzzing) with Dji Mic 2 + Rode Lavalier II external lav ? How is it compared with using external lav Rodelink Lav (if you have the unit)?
@kunirkun11 ай бұрын
I'm asking this because I have interference buzzing problem with my Dji Mic 2 + nobrand external lav (that came with my old wireless mic).. especially if the external lav's head coincidentally in a close proximity with the Dji Mic 2 unit. I am looking for the suitable external lav for Dji Mic 2.. that doesnt have any buzzing problem

Well don’t be too confused - you honestly summarized it pretty well. They really are all very good mics and both drastically easier to use and less expensive than the options we had 5-10 year ago. You really can’t go “wrong”, it’s just about which one fits your budget and needs best.
