Zoom Q8: Firmware Update

Hi there I updated mine yesterday and gave it a go last night. The firmware works flawlessly and the Q8s performance in low light is pristine,many thanks ZOOM!!!

i wasn't getting audio from the camera when i used it as a webcam, but this fixed it, thanks! :)

Went on a concert, there is only audio (image of a microphone) . The video recorder is not working! The camera is only one year od! I was really happy with it. Shot a few vids and uploaded them on KZbin... Now I am very angry why the video does not work???

Hi. I am trying to use my Q8 to livestream a gig on facebook live. I have installed all updated drives (I use Mac OS Mojave), updated the firmware - done every single thing I can possibly do. The Mac still won't recognize the Q8 as a webcam at all. Seeing as you're selling this product as a streaming product this makes things quite difficult to me. And I have tried every single trick the internet has to offer, but I still can't get it to work as a webcam. Any tips?

I installed the . bin file into the sd card. I unplugged the device and restarted with recorder button and start button both pressed. But still no update option??? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS THING ???

By the way I cant make my Q8 Xoom too work as a webcamera. Works only as a USB mick or only camera. What I do wrong? Any help?

I just got mine zoom q8 and right after i install my sd card screen didnt show up anymore. Only white screen whats the problem?

I am also having extreme problems with the "Unplug then hold down power and record button at the same time." Does not work despite every attempt. Makes no logical sense at all. How can you update from a computer if the camera is unplugged? This instruction video is really bad.

You will need to copy the firmware update file to your SD card as shown at 0:15 The update will not work if the .BIN file is not on the card.

formatted the sd card . charged battery .record does not work!says no assignable channel also yesterday shows no file...tooo complicated trash spent 2 days cant record!!!

You will need to record enable any of the audio inputs. This is done by pressing one of the buttons L, R, 1 or 2 on the side of the Q8

Jimmy, you need to press two of the 4 buttons that control your audio input selections. If you use the on-board XY mics, press the top 2 buttons...if you use the outboard mics, then press the 1&2 buttons...or all 4 buttons if you use a combination of the onboard mics plus both of the outboard mics.
