In this series I'm zooming in on countries with Google Earth, and it's time to take a look at Trinidad and Tobago! Google Earth gives information about cities, bordering countries, coordinates, distances, and I can use street view! Thank you, Google Earth, for showing us our beautiful earth!

This country just seems like a big paradise - so much beautiful nature! 😄 Thank you so much for all your nice comments, I am overwhelmed! And - thanks to you explaining, I have learned how to pronounce the names correctly now 😄 What else do you know about Trinidad and Tobago, that I didn't mention?

If you want to find people check the pictures of the bars and beaches I'd suggest checking places near Ariapita Avenue in Port of Spain. We LOVE to party. You can also look for pictures of Trinidad Carnival to see what that looks like. Other places of interest for tourism are the Caroni swamp and Maracas Beach on the north coast of Trinidad, and the famous Asa Wright Centre that people from around the world visit to see our wildlife in their natural habitat, including the 'oil birds' which live in caves and fly at night using sonar like bats. In Tobago you will find the oldest Forest Reserve in the world taking up much of the island, and the glass bottomed boats that head out to the reef. Thanks for making a great video about us.

Hello young lady, Congratulations on featuring "us":- Trinidad and Tobago; well done, gr8 job! Some of the corrections I wanted to bring forward was already mentioned by "Trini'bago" & some of my other country-folk, my brethrens .Lol.. Sweettt... (yeah, we Trinis are full of expression) We will continue to give LIKES and SUBSCRIBE so that your video will reach more people out there. There's so much to cover about our "Trinidad & Tobago Twin-Island Republic", & Independent State, maybe next video you can cover our different dialects as well. For example: In the village of Paramin we speak "French creole"; we're really trying to keep it ALIVE. In Arima and other areas on previous Carib tribe settlements, many people speak "Spanish creole". ..and generally, you will definitely hear our "English creole" totally everywhere.. We're such a colourful, diverse & mixed nation as well, without doubt, you will see people who appear to have a strange or want for a better word a 'different mix' & the family name carried may not necessarily complement their appearance, maybe like yours truly.. Lol ... and that's the beauty of our people and our land.we are diverse with many languages as a mixed nation.. Anyways, let's not get started on "FOOD" ... Yummy.. Thank you for posting and hope to see you soon ; - )

So that's what we look like to someone who's never been here. Dear Travel & Geography, the historical background to Trinidad will probably blow your mind. If you are interested, there's a book on the history of the West Indies as a whole, called "From Columbus to Castro", that may be worth your while. It might explain why we don't pronounce all those Spanish names with a Spanish accent here in Trinidad, and why very few people here speak Spanish at all. Yes, the country is green. We have 400 species of birds at last count and we keep finding new species. The geology is also very diverse across the islands. We even have mud volcanoes and a spring with prehistoric water. But it is the people that make these islands special. Deeply spiritual, musically profane, and full of the joy of life, Trinbagonians are a special mix of cultures from all over the world. We love to travel and Trinis have been everywhere and in everything.
