I’ve been waiting for this movie since 2016!!! I can’t believe it’s been nearly a decade since the first and I can’t be happier than ever for the sequel. Just PLEASE let this be good after a lot of the critical and box office flops. Also, with the new looks of Judy and Nick, I would LOVE to see this be a big nod to 80s buddy cop movies and shows like Miami Vice and Lethal Weapon. Also, since we have Shakira returning as Gazzelle with a brand new song for the film, a badass soundtrack with original songs from other popular artists and musicians would be spectacular!

Well, in terms of the original voice cast returning, Finnick's VA, Tommy Lister Jr., won't be returning as he passed away in 2020. UNLESS Disney uses archived footage or was able to get him to record voice lines before his passing.

I can't stress how excited I am about this movie. I was always kind of disappointed that Zootopia didn't get the elevated to inescapable level Frozen was, even though the first Zootopia made a fortune. I'm urgently waiting to see how Flash figures into this film. Hopefully he doesn't become an overused joke here.

If that new poster for "Zootopia 2" is only for Chinese New Year, let us know when the real poster gets posted. I can't believe that one of the new characters in "Zootopia 2" is a snake, because all the characters in the first "Zootopia" movie, which were all animals that behave like people, were mammals and snakes are reptiles.

Yeah, the fact that Zootopia 2's going to have at least one (major) reptile character definitely struck me first, seeing as I think it might've been established as canon around the time the first movie came out that Zootopia's home to only mammals, with the implication that non-mammals were used for food, etc. because they at least weren't SEEN as equally...sentient? or whatever to the mammals in-universe.

I'm cautiously optimistic based on that knowledge alone, because it's true. Disney sequels, excluding most from Pixar, have been historically infamous for being bland, mediocre and terrible cash grabs that pale in comparison to the original. But who knows? Maybe Zootopia 2 could be the outlier.

Because it felt like a natural progression of a movie with a coming-of-age narrative. On the Disney side of the spectrum, direct-to-video or theatrical, I couldn't care less about them because most of them have a severe problem with character development or living up to the lofty standards of the original.

The marketing vs. payoff for Moana 2 proved once and for all that there’s no such thing as proper villains, number one, and number two, Gary was outright smiling on the poster (which could mean nothing), thus disqualifying himself from Proper Villain Land immediately. What I’m trying to say is that because of those factors, my expectations on that front are far, *far* lower than the average person. Especially because I was right about Matangi; never doubt the genre savvy guy online

I hate to be that guy but I've been thinking about this for a while now... how the hell are they gonna handle the politics?? It was fairly tame and neoliberal and I know it's a Disney family animal movie but they had themes in the last one navigating systemic racism and policing... and then George Floyd happened and made the film even dicier... like, considering Disney's political marketing...if this movie didn't have such a sellable cute cast of critters... would it be given a sequel?
