Double tapping this one. This is the fastest option by far and lets you hit all 3 in one quest. Pop a huge speed potion on the Drow stage and go to work/sleep IMO.

Probably worth noting with the Intelligence feat - it makes him eligible for the Intelligence nodes on Modrons - which makes it flat out the best feat he has.

To get the most out of Zorbu, after getting as many (at least temporarily) sticky Debuffs on a single Enemy as possibly, you should first slowly but surely swap out your non-temporarily sticky Debuffers out for Avren and other Good Aligned Buffers and finally - as soon as at least 3 consecutively spawned mirror Images are present on Champions present in your "Execution" (=Buffers-only-Zorbu-Formation), you can Hotkey-Swap to that "Execution" Formation. Note: With a great pleasure, I'm going to take that Hint that Nova now has a sticky Spawn-Debuff; That'll change some stuff! Thanks! Even though of course some Buffing Champions are exchangeable, my Zorbu Formations currently consist of the following Champions: *BOSS CONTROL:* (Turiel), Widdle, Gromma, Baeloth, Pwent, Krull, Hew Maan, Aila, Havilar, (Nova), Arkhan (Since I've already reached heights a while ago where tanking won't give me enough time to actually being able to build up plenty of Debuff shenanigans, I'll first have to slow the enemies down so they can't get close to my formation when actually proceed to Debuff Swapping. Notes: [see my first Note] From now on, I'm gonna include Nova as well for Spawn Debuff and afterwards swap her out for Pwent for some God Tier Croud Control. In case there are 2 front Slots, I might as well just kick Krull out until Gromma has applied her Slowing Debuff to everyone) *DEBUFFING:* Orkira, Donaar, Gromma, Krull, [Xerophon=>Freely], Grimm, Aila, Havilar*, Warden, Zorbu (*Since I'm already reaching heights where Briv is being one-shotted after like 2 empowerments at my wall, it's now just 1 saved action when already having Havilar swapped in. "Xerophon=>Freely": Gonna have Xerophon saved both in this as well as the «Execution» Formation so I can have a better Eye on their Ultimate's Cooldown. As soon as the UCD is 0, swap in Freely for Debuffing) "Execution Preparations": Warden => Avren, Grimm => Qillek, (Briv => Havilar) => As soon as 3 consecutive Mirrors are on Zorbu, Qillek and Havilar: Gromma => Omin, activate Ultimates of both Orkira and Freely, then, wait a certain time (based on experience) so Avren can spawn his 4th and last mirror right after swapping to the… «EXECUTION»: K'thriss, Donaar, Omin, Qillek, Krull, Xerophon*, Môrgæn, Havilar, Avren, Zorbu (*For the «Execution» Formation, don't forget to always save a Familiar on Xerophon's Ultimate! As I've said, especially some Champions in this Formation can easily be exchanged, such as K'thriss, Omin and Môrgæn. Well, just realised that both Donaar, Qillek and Havilar are important to me due to being «Good» and therefore able to hold an Image, so for what I see as "potentially optimal", there really isn't much space to swap Champs around) Final Debuffing => "Execution" [Hotkey] Swaps: Orkira => K'thriss, Freely => Xerophon, Aila => Môrgæn

great click debuff stuff. Not sure i agree that is what you want for zorbu though. normally i'd keep the party you put up, adding penelope, in my formation one. then in formation 2 have zorbu with other supports and switch before enemies get to my party to spike bud. debuff champions are amazing because they carry over dps you can't get otherwise, normally wouldn't include in my main dps party because then you can't double dip and i feel they generally don't outperform non-debuffing support by a lot. But hey, great video.

Thanks a lot for the good indepth guides. They really were eye opening. Had no idea, that there were other DPS units other than Zorbu :) Currently trying to gear up Artemis. I've already achieved e239 highest damage with him (ilv 100+), whereas Zorbus highest hit with ilv 560+, around 2m favored foes for each type, is around e247. Had no idea how beastly Artemis can be. Could you add a TLDR section for short references, so people can have a quick reminder of what was important about a champ? Would really help a lot with recreating parties.

For zorbu dps, some champs are worth using over debuffers. Blooshi>Talin, Valentine>Briv. Also using the strongest available supports in every slot is just about equal strength to full debuffers but without the lag. Also, since doing that includes valentine, it brings zorbu pre stack capability but with a stronger starting point than krond or black viper. Not sure if that is better than warduke or not though.

It's true that Blooshi and Nova/Val are just too strong to deny for raw numbers. Briv is still very important for speed, though. It's why I always recommend starting with Zorbu for people planning to do Artie. Zorbu takes off very fast with low investment (other than lifelong enemies farming) but doesn't scale as well into late-late game, where Artie/Krond/Warduke thrive.

Very nice guide as always, I've learned a few things on both Zorbu and CDB? (I think that's the acronym I've seen around, though it's dangerously close to CBD to me ^^). I wasn't aware of that new Feat (which I'm guessing will cost 50k gems as all the other +2?). I'm not sure how or if there's even a way to keep up to date on new Feats; they seem to be cranking out a lot of them lately and I always find out by chance or because someone mentions it. It's a bit bitter sweet for me at my current progress rate, as I'm nowhere near farming gems fast enough to get most of these 50k gems feats quite yet. But it's good to know they exist (which if you have a tip to check, I'm all ears). For places to farm Zorbu's kills, Tricksters has been mentioned already, and I hear it's the best overall (haven't unlocked it yet myself but I'll make sure to save it). For undead specifically (and sheer volume), there's the Twilight Twist variant of Fugitives in Waterdeep. I didn't know of the Witchlight one you mentioned, but Twilight seems a bit better: 1 to 3 ghouls per wave, and they also come back to life every five seconds. I'm not sure if that's the case in other variants people use, but at least in this one although they count as killed and then basically count as new spawns when they resurrect... they keep some debuffs applied in their "previous lives"! Notably Korth's mark. Which allows for some pretty insane shenanigans with attack speed and ultimate cooldowns (basically after a while the entire screen is a grey blur of ghouls and whoever's doing the killing attacks at animation speed permanently and has a permanent ult). I've used this one mostly with other champions so far, before I unlocked Zorbu (Nordom early on, his ult lasting so long and doing such a huge AOE it was super easy to go infinite with, and I had Torogar watching closely ^^). But I've been meaning to adapt it for Zorbu lately. Fingers crossed it works as I envision it! ^^ The other thing is: is Jim still the king of polymorph even with Imoen contesting his title? I know Jim's chickens are so frail they might as well have 0HP, but hopefully Imoen's -90% HP Favored Foes are not that far behind? And it's more reliable: every third attack from her is a polymorph guaranteed, versus Jim's 1/3 chance to polymorph every fifth attack (and she attacks faster than him). Is 10% HP a really big deal in the late late game, or if this a case of force of habit? I wonder if this might be similar to some veteran players so used to Deekin being the go-to guy to increase spawn speed they kind of overlook Widdle doing it better than him (in most situations)... But I might be wrong, I know that even big percentages can lose any meaning with huge exposants involved. Come to think of it, my tiny Modron core makes enemies have "-94% less health" and I don't stomp on them, so... Okay, I get it. Jim still does a uniquely useful thing and Imoen's polymorph doesn't really compare. I wish it did! ^^ (I might be biased, as I get a bit of the same bad vibe from Jim as I do from Artemis). PS! I've been meaning to suggest you do a few mini subsets of your tier list for specific roles. It might be redundant as you're obviously already kind of doing this for DPS with the current series, but it could be sweet to have maybe something a bit broader (I'm guessing you're not going to go all the way down to a dedicated video on #44 best DPS ^^). So it could still be nice to "quickly" go over all DPS in the game and rate them on their potential as a formation's carry (or main DPS; I'm still unsure why the term "carry" hasn't carried over from other games lol). Also maybe a similar thing for Tanks, Healers, Speedsters, Gold Diggers (I mean Finders)... or more unique but useful categories like a top 10 of the Nrakkables, top 10 of the Hitch-hikers, stuff like that. ^^ Random ramblings, counterpoints I debunk myself as I'm asking the question, and a year's worth of videos casually requested as "suggestions'" aside, thanks a ton again for your series, man. Please keep up the great work, oh and happy new year to you!

@@tyredack Thanks! Well, you invented 'Nrakkable' as an adjective, so I blame it on you. ^^ It sounds catchy to me. But yeah, there are a fair bit of useful lists I wish I had handy like "who works well with Nova AND has a pretty high soft cap to increase her crew a lot more than others?" or "who has DEX 15+ for Agile Allies and also works well with a HoBG team?". I know, I can figure it myself and a site like Byteglow helps a lot, but still. I so often find myself selecting someone only to remember after the fact they don't qualify for what I was trying to build... ^^ It would be awesome to have guidelines in your own style for stuff like that. And yes, it was a bit of a stream of consciousness comment, sorry about that. It's just not intuitive to me that say "-90%" to 1e300 basically means 1e299 instead of 1e30 (which would be a bit OP I guess ^^).

I open the zones needed for farming Zorbu. I use a huge potion of speed and a speed core. Farming AFK. When I return to the game, I swap Zorbu for any warrior and take speed core with me.. I use Zorbu in my daily activities. Then when Zorbu is not busy with me, he and the fast core return to the farming area. Where there is still a buff from a huge speed potion.

I'm stunned that Warduke has only existed for a couple months and he's already dethroned Zorbu for the bronze medal for DPS. As much as I love Asharra, I might have to look into investing in Zorbu stacks because Tiamat restrictions are kicking my ass. The other day I couldn't quite make the goal because I lost Avren (Valentine and Jaheira were available but they weren't enough--Briv and Egbert had already been locked out on Day 1), then it rerolled into something that cost me Orkira and Freely (which is literally impossible for me to compensate for without giving up either Baeloth or Ulkoria, and I don't yet have the means to pick Exotic for my second bond instead of HnH). Even if I stick with Asharra as a main, Zorbu not really giving a crap who he's partnered with could make him a viable Plan B if Trials decide to wake up and choose violence. I wonder if his Lifelong Enemies could be farmed in a background party. Click-Debuff was a big reason I got anywhere in Descent into Avernus because pretty much every adventure past the first two had some flavor of armored boss. Even if I could complete the minimum requirement, getting enough favor to comfortably afford all the blessings was a nightmare otherwise.

That pre-stack scaling is just hard to stand up against when we're talking about investing in a DPS. That is for sure Asharra's biggest drawback is not only her own availability but how crippling losing the availability of her required Champions as well.

Optimal way to farm it, legendary dismantle, trials of tiamat. Like everything in one package. The gear in this game has been very confusing to me.

I indeed might cover that at some point. Most of the time with gear it all just comes down to Gem Farming to buy Chest to get Smithing Contracts + Bounty Contracts. Smithing to directly increase the gear and Bounty to save up until there is an Event and *then* using them, to maximize how much Event Currency you get to farm chests during the Event.

No iLevels for Artimes or Krond. No idea how to make Warduke work :/ Zorbu still low on kill totals (just did 2-3 days of trying to buff him thus far). I throw D'hani and Torogar in now and then to try to level them... they still suck. I get a lot of mileage out of Jahiera and Lucius :> Farideh and even Ishi! Viconia was a killing machine even before the season! No worries! Thanks for the many helpful videos! Edit: Mine are 6,6,5,5 while yours are 6,6,7,6? Yeah, Artie and Krond really do need that ilvl investment. I do break down Warduke if you haven't seen that one yet if that might help at all. D'hani will probably never catch up to other DPS, and while Torogar is a DPS he never excels since he doesn't scale as well of his Preach, but it does make him a much better buffer for other Evil DPS. Lucius is certainly better since his Season, and Farideh is great, and I love her availability. Zorbu very well might be able to take off soon and be a good choice for you though! And as far as his kills, I just had a bit where I was farming Torogar up in that Undead location and threw Zorbu in there to benefit as well and it spiked that up a bit.

C/DB is what I used to get over the lvl1000 hump. But once I'd done that, I find that traditional BUD formations are still giving me gradual pushing gains. Maybe there will come a point where I need the C/DB strat again,? Although the performance hit is the worst part of using C/DB. Did you cover that in the video? I'm not sure if I heard you mention it?

I did not cover the performance chugging when it comes to CDB, no, but probably would have been worth at least passively mentioning. It's a bounce back and forth kind of thing. The harder you push the better CDB will be, the more you invest the farther you push with BUD the more you can level Click Damage, etc. BUD is getting better lately as well with more ways than ever to reliably proc it without the need of Potions with Krydle's change, Kent, and the upcoming Fen.

Does the debuff formation negatively impact TOMT in that you take a hit in DPS for not using support buffs? If so, should you run a mix of both? For example HBG team with Xander and other chaotic DBs.

It could be because I'm tired, but I'm not entirely following the question. If you're referring to Click Debuff then Champion Damage, Positional, and All Damage types of supports will not be beneficial. Only those that make enemies take more damage, hence debuffing. The goal is to completely abandon DPS and fully slot debuffers and rely on click scaling. TOMT is harder to get Click Debuff rolling right away because you will probably need to otherwise get to your wall and gold farm, reset, and go again, so you have some Favor to work with every week.

I see. Yeah, at the end of the day it comes down to what your personal absolute best buffers are, and it will probably be a mix/match. For example, it's almost always going to be the case that Blooshi will be better than Talin in Seat 2, and Nova + Valentine together will outperform other combinations in their Seats, which is why I mention them in particular. But, of course, that starts to dilute Freely's usefulness if you happen to use him at the same time. It's all a balancing act that will vary from person to person based on who they've invested their time and resources into. At the end of the day, tinker until you find what outputs the absolute best damage for you.

That just comes from leveling him up in a run. He gains multiple "Increases the effect of Zorbu's Lifelong Enemies by 100%" upgrades. 3 of them so he goes from .01 to .02, then .02 to .04, then finally .04 to .08 near his soft level cap.

Since you mention using Viconia/Minsc/Imoen to force spawns of his Lifelong Enemies, it’s probably worth pointing out that Viconia only buffs HoBG/Evil/Neutral champs so she’s not exactly a great pick, whereas Minsc and Imoen can still buff him too
