It should be noted that Sonic Boom has three different versions: the main Opening version, the Ending version, and a Crush 40 vs. Cash Cash remix. JP Sonic CD also has a unique ending theme called "Cosmic Eternity" that is also worth listening too.

The reason why there's two different songs for Sonic CD is because the game two different soundtracks for US and JP/EU because Sega's American marketing division wanted to replace the original Japanese soundtrack with one "more musically rich and complex" for the US Sonic Boom is the US Theme (Which also has a Crush 40 version) You Can Do Anything is the JP/EU Theme

If you want a good laugh, a band called "The Chalkeaters" did a song called "Crushing Thirties" as parody song as a tribute to Sonic for his 30th anniversary and best part is they got Johnny Gioeli (lead singer of Crush 40) to sing it

I know I'm late and I'm not sure if ANYBODY said this but the Doc. Robeatnic version of E.G.G.M.A.N. is specifically used as a cutscene theme for when dialogue is going on with Eggman and Shadow and whatever, so that's why it's not as lyric heavy so you can focus on the actual story happening. So only the major parts of the song are there minus the actual "I AM THE EGGMAN" part just replaced by that wobbly synth or w/e it was.

I also recommend that you react to the eggdragon theme from Sonic Unleashed, it is an incredible and frenetic instrumental theme that reflects Eggman's madness very well, he is already tired of dealing with the same hedgehog over and over again, this time he is going for the kill and Even Sonic himself tells him to relax while this song plays. Highly recommended

Spiral Madness from Sonic Riders Zero Gravity isnt a vocal theme but goes crazy, has a insanely good Guitar Solo which is the third part of the song that you get when activating Gravity Actions in the game, highly recommend that and is what makes Sonic Riders the "older brother" of Mario Kart who's the "younger brother" if the two series were individuals but other songs from the ost of SRZG are phenomenal.

The Reason for Sonic 06 having the name Sonic The Hedgehog. Is because the plan was for it to be a reboot of the franchise into a new era. But the rush to make it a PS3 and XBOX 360 launch title made the game into such a trainwreck of wasted potential. That the fanbase spent the better part of the next 15 years fixing it themselves. With the main candidate for the True Fan Made Remake currently being Sonic Project 06 or Sonic P-06. And yes it truly wonderful and painful in equal manner to actually see what could have been.

It wasn't supposed to be a reboot. Yuji Naka said they named it "Sonic the Hedgehog" because they were inspired by superhero movies like "Spider-man".

As other's have said. Sonic Boom has 3 versions! An Opening version, an Ending Version and a remix (Crush 40 vs. Cash Cash) Sonic Boom is the theme for the US soundtrack to CD, While the JP soundtrack has a distinct theme for it's opening, "You Can Do Anything" and a distinct theme for it's ending "Cosmic Eternity." They're all fantastic!!

Some suggestions: Let’s get a bit of instrumental Classic music: Green Hill, Star Light and Scrap Brain Zones from Sonic 1, Chemical Plant, Metropolis, and the final boss from Sonic 2, Ice Cap, Launch Base, Flying Battery, Sky Sanctuary, Death Egg, and Doomsday zones from Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Sonic Rush. Pretty much anything from the soundtrack would be great, but Back 2 Back (Water Palace), Get Edgy (Altitude Limit), What U Need (Dead Line), and Wrapped in Black would be highlights Sonic Rush Adventure’s main theme, A New Venture, as well as its boss themes. Theme of E-102 Gamma from Adventure if you haven’t done that one already. And finally, the remaining team themes from Heroes, We Can and Follow Me.
