*We purchased this after moving, and previously had a spotlight **Newest.Technology** cam with solar power. The wired pro cam has much better light (about the same as a bright porch light), and the image is significantly more clear with much better details.*

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Our DVR can't support the external hard drive, you need to buy an internal hard drive(3.5 inch) to install. I'm not really familiar with security systems.. I bought one from ebay once and it was a mess trying to understand the operation... I'm mostly wanting a camera system that is always on and showing the screens while i'm home.. And only records motion when someone walks past it... I also would like to have it to where i could always watch my camera's online while i'm gone,, and would like to easily be able to go straight to my recorded videos and also not have to worry about my hard drive being full.. I understand that all of these systems will do what i'm wanting.. But i wish they made a system that was basic without so many bells and whistles to confuse me...

installed and running in 20 minutes(swapped out older defective system Night Owl). I did use a low 12 voltage power security box to eliminate all the power plugs. Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even kzbin.infoUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

I guess the one thing ZOSI is keeping a secret is how to view a video from say yesterday or the day before that. My play back seems to go back 30 minutes. I have a 1T hard drive. But don't have a way to view older videos.

I am a Systems and Network Engineer and I've installed several video camera systems. I went with the ZOSI NVR because of the POE tech because I won't use wireless. The initial install was easy, but DON'T EVER LOOSE YOUR PASSWORD!! The service has been absolutely horrible, they sent me the firmware upgrade but failed to tell me the front and back USBs are the same and the mouse must be unplugged!! It's taken over a month and they've been awful!! Plus, they're in China so you won't get to email back and forth because of the 12 hr time difference. You CANNOT SPEAK TO ANYONE - EVER!!

What do you mean by "the mouse must be unplugged". For what? You mean to install the firmware upgrade you have to unplug the mouse? Otherwise it won't work? And what does this have to do with your password? Or is that a different issue?

Like your video I too have only installed 4 cameras and used the option to only show the 4 images. But the system wants to default to showing 8 squares with 4 of them blank. How can the system only show on the screen 4 live cameras and not the empty ports?

If you bought 8CH DVR with 4 cameras, and don't want the monitor to show all channels, you can click "Multi" to select the channels you want to show. Then return to the menu and click "Stop Scan". Note: please don't click "Start Scan". Otherwise, the settings will not be saved, it will jump to the default channels automatically.

Hello, I have had our system for a while now and now I am trying to install a coaxial PTZ camera to the system. It recognizes the camera but the point tilt and zoom doesn't want to communicate with the camera. I am using the power supply that came with the camera but nothing. I have another PTZ camera and it works and communicates. What is the set up for the application?

Here is what we are dealing with regarding the Zosi backup. Our office got broken into Christmas Sunday and we need to get the backup to the police. However, when we do a backup, the part where it shows the guy's face, the backup file gets split in half and leaves out the part with the face in it. So the most important part does not get backed up. Also, when we select a certain timeframe to be recorded, ex. looking for a 1 min deal, we get a 30 min recording showing up. This whole back up thing is not working well, it's not very user friendly. If you have a solution to who to back up within the timeframe indicated and not splitting it up, please make a video for that. Thank you.

At least someone is putting out a video, not too many good ones on the Zosi which I recently purchased. One problem I am having though is the motion record. I have set each camera to 1, the lowest, and it doesn't make a difference and fills up over night with recording nothing but moths. I just formatted my hard drive and within 2 minutes, I have 9 events.

Higher Sensitivity and Inaccurate Motion Zone Solution: Please set up the Sensitivity and Motion Area lower. Cause 2. The object is too closer from the camera Solution: Please adjust the angle or change a proper position for the camera to test the target place. @@ZosiTechnology - Not sure the technical aspects but it's a ZR08VM firmware version V1.7.2.66300820A001Z and the hardware version is V1.30X.A. I have all the sensitivity set to 1 and have a narrow area for motion. Just received the password from the vendor today and set my own so now I can try a reset. Had an Annke which never gave me a password so that's why I scrapped them and went with Zosi. I haven't connected it to the internet yet so I haven't installed any app. I also have 7 camera's and same problem with them all recording nothing that's there.

Hi , If you want to detects motion, you can follow up the steps below to set up: 1) Please go to DVR / POE NVR / Wireless NVR's menu, click "Stop Record". 2) Please go to DVR / POE NVR / Wireless NVR's Main Menu - Setup - Alarm - Motion Detection to enable the channel you want to set up motion detection, and edit the area for the channel. 3) Please go to DVR / POE NVR / Wireless NVR's Main Menu - Setup - Alarm - Motion - Trigger - To record to check whether you enabled the record. 4) Please go to DVR / POE NVR / Wireless NVR's Main Menu - Setup - Schedule - Motion to check if all channels were covered with blue. If yes, you needn't change it. 5) You will find a yellow icon and red man on the channel that you set up to motion detection record. how does the weather affect these cameras? i've seen on the product page its rated down to -20c, would exposure to lower temperatures permanently damage the camera or just hinder the quality of the video.

None of our DVR system require an internet connection to be used locally. The internet connection is used to allow remote connection using a smartphone app or PC client. been having my zosi system for 4 months now nothing but problems, camera works great great playback ,system shuts down whenever it wants (looses contact with cameras). takes 1 hour to two hours to get it back up online. very frustrating this system a big waste of money. can't call anyone because no one answers, sent email for support on cameras 1st request for support got answer 3 days later, 2nd request 5 days 3rd, 4th and 5th request 6 days each,6th request 1 month ago still no response. please use a different system not associated with zosi.

If you can't login the DVR/NVR system on monitor/tv, please send the device's ID and model number to us. If I get a wife box and connect through Ethernet cable will I be able to connect the camera app to my phone, the Zosi box dosnt seem to connect to my wireless internet

If the camera system is successfully connected to the network, then it can be added to the phone APP. We recommend that you use an Ethernet cable to connect the recorder to the router. First of all I ordered a 4 channel DVR that was supposed to be 1080p and received an 8 channel DVR that is 720p. I was dealing with that until I tried to hook it up. It says that I can view the cameras without internet but how? Please let me know how to set this system up without the internet. I tried calling but a recording in Chinese comes on then the phone hangs up. Very frustrating.

Im a longtime zosi customer,,,just got a new nvr ,,,when i tried to add cameras by plugging in camera directly to nvr it worked great for the first 3 then when i try to add the other 5 cameras i get message saying ip info already on channel...HOW do i get to let add all 8 cameras ..maybe a factory reset??

I am new to ZOSI and have a 4camers (8AP-3063W4-10-US) system, but don't have an install guide, go figure, I need help setting it up. Please forward a user guide and or install manual. It seems to have all the connecting cables . I plugged it in and tried to connect the first camera, the voice said successful but I get no picture on the iPhone app.I can connect it to my desktop but need assistance. please help.

Yes. But the recorder needs to install an internal hard disk in advance, otherwise the system will not be able to record and view playback.

Like video but I was looking for how to use only what I am using. And to keep it at. As I have a 16 channel. And only using 10 out 16 and won't stay at the number of channels. After 3 to 5 min goes back to 16 channel. HELP PLEASE. Loved your video

My zosi stop recording 24 hrs. I had it fir about 3yrs now. I have a 1tb so I figured I'll upgrade to a 4tb sinceit stop recordingfor 24hrs. I'm still getting 6hrs of recording. The park that sucks is it doesn't tell you or have a recording option. Don't know what else to do but buy a different system. How can I fix this issue?

I have this system and am having a problem with single camera not staying on monitor. It keeps going back to 8 camera capacity showing when I only have 4 cameras connected. Simply will not stay on one camera.

Can you hook up 2 separate monitors. One via hdmi and one vga and have different cameras on each one. Cam 1-4 on one and 5-8 on the other. Or do both monitors have to show the same thing.

First of all, please make sure that your DVR/NVR system has installed the internal hard drive. Our DVR/NVR can't support the external hard drive to record, and without a hard drive, it cannot record and playback.

You can right click mouse on the monitor/tv, select Colour - Select this option to be taken to a Live View of the selected channel and reveal the Colour options. Select your channel from the drop down menu, and adjust the Brightness, Hue, Saturation, Contrast or Sharpness of the image using the menu. Increase the values by left clicking on the + sign, and decrease the value by clicking on the the - sign. You can always restore default settings by pressing the Default button at the bottom of the menu. Please confirm any changes by left-clicking on the Save button.

Hi Sorry for the inconvenience cuased to you. 1) Check if there are interference light sources around the cameras, such as neon lights, colored lights, colored glass, etc., remove the interference light sources or adjust the angle of the lens to see if it makes a difference. 2) Power cycle the camera off and on by disconnecting the power connection. 3) Please cover the len of the camera or take it to the dark environment to make it change to night version, and take it out to a bright environment to make it convert to daytime version. We got a 16 cam nvr poe system. We put up 6 cameras and then bought a rotating camera to track my little girls movement in the front yard. But..... We can't figure out how to control the rotating camera or put the intelligent tracker on it. So..... I tried going to zosi website and most of the time I can't even get into the support page cause it freezes up

i just got this today took awhile but i have everything hooked up and going ok 2 issues so far 1st issue is one camera said no video but i noticed that at the dvr thing if i pull lightly up on the cord it works so I used a black tis that was warped to cords in packaging so that seamed to solve the issue shouldn't have todo that with a new system but whatever its working now the 2nd issue is a bigger deal for me and i need this solved please help as i have gotten everything up and running "i have yet to try app thing out the hose yet" but my issue for now is i cant get the email to work as i have everything right but keeps giving me a error message and fails i really wanted this system for that feature that will take a snap and send me a email

If you don't mind deleting previous records, you can go to main menu - disk management to reformat the hard drive. You can go to DVR's Main Menu - Setup - Record - Recycle Record, then click the recycle record tab to enable it. The DVR will automatically cover the earliest video files and continue recording when the hard drive is full. Then you can right click mosue enter the "Playback" to check the record for yesterday. Jon mate freezing tends to only happen if you have slow or problematic internet to the dvr and or the device your trying to view it on has slow connection to the internet or is simply crap to start with cpu and ram wise, so couple of factors to cause freezing but its not going to be the dvr buddy. The dvr's have no freezing problems. I have installed many of these systems.

Hello What model of system did you purchase? Only wireless nvr can connect via WiFi. Other model systems are connected to the network via cables.😊

Hi. 1) It maybe that the system is unable to start due to insufficient power supply. - Please change another working power supply to connect the system to try. 2) If you installed an internal hard disk in the system, the hard disk has bad sectors may also cause this problem. - Please disassemble the rear cover of the DVR / NVR system and unplug the date wire and power wire of the hard drive to try. 3) If neither of the above steps work, it sounds like the DVR /NVR system is experiencing a firmware crash. This sometimes occurs if the power is disconnected without performing a proper shutdown through the menu. Manually applying a firmware update should help it to function normally. Please provide us the model number of your system, on the outside of the DVR / NVR, there should be two labels featuring the model number and device ID of your DVR / NVR. If you could please respond with these details, we should be able to provide you with a link to the firmware update and some directions on how to proceed.

Omg I had an old zosi it worked perfectly until lightning strike stopped the internet on it. So I upgraded to this exact 8 chann 1080. In cuts off every half hour and I cannot get the app to work . The apps Lags and sometimes is blank had it since June and it's frustrating ... help
