If you think it's bad in DotA, you should see League. The entire game hinges on Baron and Dragon (which individually are probably each worth more than Roshan). So you absolutely do need to set up in advance and jockey for position when they spawn (League tells you exactly when they spawn) ...but then people start running around teamfighting in an empty dragon bit and trying to prevent enemies from going to it like 3 minutes before it spawns. In a 20-30 minute game. Imagine if in DotA your team spent 6 minutes hovering around Roshan, maybe getting like 2 camps between 3 people, while they're behind.

@@SeisoYabai that's so true. i play both league and dota. currently 200 lp master in league, and people still do this. dragon spawning in 30 seconds, what does my bot lane and jungle do? force a coinflip-ass dive into enemy turret instead of setting up vision in dragon pit.

"don't join the bad decisions of your friends" and "you have to sacrifice something when you do a mistake" were two of the biggest wisdom advices I've heard, and even then I'm sure people always reject it. They always prefer to do shit decisions when their teammates are already dead and will never let objectives go, because why not

lol - I'm trash tier and I don't need to do anything but look at the minimap for the first 1:25 of the video to know the Slark player went to a bad spot. @zquixotix - It seems like you're downplaying that fact though? I get the idea that you only have this timeline, and so this replay, to analyze... But if he hadn't made his mistake, everything that needed a reset would have been reset before they likely would have had an encounter. I guess my point is - they all f'd up, and his decision is what started it, right? ...though I suppose the answer to the question, is the Slark death the defining game-losing mistake, I guess the rest of the video answers that question. 😅

It's a big mistake, but I also understand it's a few seconds lapse in map awareness. It's an easy mistake to make even if it's a big one I think unnecessary fighting after someone has died is also a big mistake but should be much easier to recognize that it's a bad time to fight In the end though, they are all mistakes. If anyone stops their own individual mistake and calls to reset, then they're probably okay as a whole. So for me it's hard to say which is really considered worse

1. 7192295689 2. Playing w/my 5 stack of friends 3. Pos 3 Tidehunter thinks pos 4 mirana needs to stop warding, getting bounties, instead focus on abusing enemy luna out of lane. Pos 5 veno thinks our smokes are poor because we don't have a good initiator and we waste time trying to gank and they always fail. Not just this game Also thinks the only way to win teamfights with this lineup is if Tide ults and Drow does damage and Necro ults WW. Overall, we all talk about mistakes, but we never agree on who's right or wrong or whose fault is it. Pos 1 Drow thinks Tide is a bad pick since he lacks damage and maybe Axe is better. Tide might be good if mid lane was a right clicker. Or we had more damage dealers. PS. Been playing since 2005/06 And I love the team aspect. Me and my friends watch you so think for the work you do for the community.

eurrgh, that's just like some of the games I get when I solo queue and get matched with 2/3 stacks! It's like they are playing 2 different games and there's just a late game moment where they take dumb fights when someone is just about to spawn.

I shouldn't have gone crimson guard against the high magic damage items but I justified it because of the abaddon. Pipe probably would have been better but that's nonetheless. After the game I thought my position 4 and 5 could have helped more in team fights. Looking at the graph our win probability tanked after a fight top where the pos 4 and 5 were running around the bottom of the map while we were fighting. Would like a review of the laning stage as I felt quite helpless against the abaddon.

5k trash here. I would say that securing last hits and denies and ensuring your carry has a lead over the enemy offlaner is a priority. Need to have impact on lane when you are leeching xp. The advantage would compound from a little to a significant amount if you keep it up and not throw

Its so nice to hear this, as a pos 5 and 2 people down my team is screaming for us to go dive 3 v 5 at a tier 2 and its never been logical to me to risk a fight like that to then swap the death timers for a racks.. then defend that and swap death timers again. I lose SO many games and win so many games from people doing this.

It's because if you look at the start of the video you can see the huge rank disparity. I'm Divine and do pos 5 most of the time, supporting an Immortal or a Divine is like 2 worlds apart, so imagine having even lower ranked players in the game, very hard to click as they do not understand each other's goals / objectives. But what is the most noteworthy point if to compare the players based on ranking is the Team fights, lower rankings are much worse in that. Knowing when to fight, how to position, game sense, clicking with your teammates based on their cooldowns - It requires a lot of experience. So lets put Immortal, Divine, Ancient and Legend into the same game and expect them to play on the same frequency - the game above is what to be expected from such a mishmash of ranks.

Wtf are you talking about dude, slark, their hoghest mmr player, showed himself in the lane at min 38 with no enemies showig + a nyx, and he pushed for a fight at min 40 with qop dead and no ds wall. It had nothing to do with rank disparity. It's as he said, no map awereness + not knowing when to fight.

I think i played not bad at all but at the end we kinda lack dmg because my mid was lion pos 2 and i played vs dusa, bb, sf etc. So my question is not what my teammates did wrong but what else can i do so i can win that kind of games.

I don't know how open you are to different types of content and maybe it's boring for most, but I'd really be interested in seeing more full game support commentaries for 7.33 like you used to do in the past. I'm starting to support more and I'm learning a lot about the role from your old vids, but I still don't feel like I have a good idea of what "putting it all together" feels like in the current patch with how many different objectives and responsibilities supports have now, especially in the early game.

Hey Z, Got a game for you. Match ID 7193109451. I'm playing ember mid. IMO our pos 1 picking void spirit was the reason we lost. Apart from a stupid death on my part, I'd say I won mid. I also tried to be as active as possible and play aggressively but we still couldn't take any early t2 towers and start pushing. Then it hits late game and void spirit pos1 just couldn't keep up with the abba and doom on the other team eventually leading to our loss.

During the lane, I think we should have been a lot more aggressive between levels 1 and 3 because their levels are more impactful than ours for laning and would end up booting us out early.
