Great subject matter. Both informative and entertaining. And you were close to Pasadena where I live. We've had our fair share of scandals. Jack Nance, the star of the film Eraserhead was attacked by two men outside a Winchell's Donut Shop and died the next day, a 1916 sex scandal involving a politician, a mortuary scandal, and an 1885 anti-immigrant fire. You should stop by Pasadena sometime and see the old mansions, the Huntington Library and Gardens, and the Norton Simon Museum. I think you'd enjoy it. Many celebrities live here as well.

Whoa lots of cool info! I had no idea Jack Nance was killed like that?!? I also really want to check out the Huntington library. It’s on my list!

This was well put together, fun and interesting. Some of us remember the event well; it was in the news, especially when she was ‘on trial’ plus the tabloid shows like ET and Hard Copy were popular back then - we had no streaming services or social media. It actually did her more good than harm, made her relevant again and she got a lot of mileage out of doing talk shows and she even became friends with David Letterman, with him coming out west to do a show driving around with her. Whenever I catch the credits of Green Acres, I think of your excellent video on that topic. You investigated that one very well and we learned a lot about Thousand Oaks. Whenever I watch an old western I try and see if I can see any of the topography from the land that was used out there.
@StanleyFoss2 ай бұрын
I live that video with her and David Letterman’s getting fast food in LA. So hilarious! Thanks I’m hoping to get back to Thousand Oaks again soon. :)

Thank you! She was an actress in the 1950’s? her biggest film was probably Touch of Evil, but she was more known as a socialite. She’s Paris Hilton’s great aunt. Her second husband was Conrad Hilton. 😁
