Important note: Some of these will never display as true in the combo meter (e.g. Nair-Nair-Flip Kick) because the combo meter resets after two electric-type moves in a row. Don’t ask me why. Anyway, all such combos were analysed frame-by-frame. If the caption says it’s true, it’s true. Any more questions about any of these combos, ask me in the comments!

Can you please tell me what makes the up-smash at 0% sometimes send them straight up (for the u-air combo) and sometimes send them a little behind you (for the bair combo)? I thought it had to do with zss doing the smash from a stand-still or from a dash, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Adam Smith I find in training mode it’s when I slide to far forward in the up smash. With no DI if you are next to them it will send up and slightly forward. If you slide far enough it can send up and backwards

YES I'M EARLY THIS TIME!!! Gotta put these to use now that I've watched the video. ZSS has basically replaced Joker as my 3rd most used character online. First is Cloud, second is Roy (sword boi, not Koopaling) For real tho, I love these videos. Honestly, seeing all these guides for ZSS have helped me improve as other characters as well. You show the unique aspects of ZSS at their full potential in these guides, and doing so made me think about how ZSS plays and I've made some techniques of my own. Now I'm doing the same as other characters, and experimenting with new control schemes that better fit the characters I play. Now my skills have VASTLY improved.

There is something I found out, don't know if you knew that. If you make a Down B and reactivate it by pressing C-Stick to the left and Control Stick to the right at the same time (if you jump to the right), you get a momentum cancel and won't drift so far away. The same thing works, when you jump to the left by pressing Control Stick to the left and C-stick to the right. This trick can save lives.

I’m having trouble with up-smash up-air boostkick. Most of the time dark samus has time to air dodge the up air and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong even though I have gotten it to work occasionally. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong? Also half the time I land the up air the boostkick doesn’t connect.

The main limiting factor is how quickly you input up air after double jumping. You need to press up air almost instantly after the double jump so that ZSS hits the opponent as low as possible in her double jump.

It’s possible, but quite hard.

It will be because you’re not inputting the aerial early enough in the full hop.

I think up smash into anything is not true. I heard Nairo saying that you can always sdi up during the up smash, so your are in a too high poistion for ZSS to reach.
