Try watching the whole game. Luka was excellent defensively tonight. You saw one bad defensive possession and highlighted it like it was the whole game.

I hate when ppl say Luka doesn’t play defense or when comparing him to other stars in the league they always bring up Luka defense like he isn’t averaging 1.5 steals per game

@@cousinwil5808 Ah yes, the totally accurate individual defensive rating. Guess where Sabonis ranks in defensive rating? 436. So according to you, Domantas Sabonis is a worse defender than Luka. So yeah, you might want to verify how reliable certain stats are before reeling them off.

Luka can be a lazy transition defender but he really has improved his defense in the halfcourt. most of the time its nothing fancy so it doesn't make the highlights

Mavs fans are vocal because you don't watch the games. You see highlights and draw conclusions. You're not seeing successful D being played in a highlights video. It's just buckets for 10 minutes, so you get completely the wrong impression.

Luka is a positive defender (far from elite) if he wants to, but most of the time he is saving energy for the other side of the floor.

Whatever Mavs fan said he’s an elite defender is wrong, as a Mavs fan. He is an above average defender. He is statistically one of the best post-up and iso defenders, but his help defense and ball watching is really bad. And these two problems stop him from being a really good defender.

Calling Luka an elite defender is crazy. He can be good when he locks in, but he's not very consistent on that front. Overall, he's not a total cone on defense, but definitely not elite.

As far as Dwight Powell is concerned all he did was try and do the best he could. Not his fault they took forever to learn to get bigger guys. He’s a great end of the bench guy. Somehow Mavs went to the western conference finals with him as a starter tho so there’s that lol.

Josh Green can be an Aaron Gordon for the Mavs. He is not an elite cutter like Gordon because he is a better 3 shooter. But yeah! He is fast and is an underrated at catching lobs

Draymond chooses not to play another game without curry. If curry misses three games, Dream I love you I’m dizzy Astec and unmotivated in one game, motivated in another game and won’t show up for one of those games. Bet Kerr made a deal with draymond after the first Spurs game “give us 100% effort in the second Spurs game without curry and you could take off the next game off if curry is not back. It’s probably why Draymond was much more motivated in the second Spurs game😂

You got it wrong; Luka is an elite defender, I will explain by statistics he is in the top 10in every defensive category which makes him an above-average defender for the season and when you see him half the time does not seem to be interested in defense means that when he locks down he is an elite defender...

I'm a Dallas 4 life and Luka is not an elite defender. And anyone saying he is but just lazy sometimes.. that's not elite.Complains on every play and if he doesn't get the call, doesn't play defense. Offense is elite, not his defense
