I'm a senior and just use basic functions on a smartphone. I bought this phone unlock new in the box for less than $100 three years ago and it's still going strong and battery lasts all day. For the price its been great! Takes good pictures in daylight. Both your reviews are accurate for the best and worst features!

I've had my zte z blade for a year now. No problems what so ever . My battery still holds a charge, it's still fast in performing my tasks. And the sound quality great. Perhaps they sold you a defective phone.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I try to improve on every video and getting that kind of feedback helps a lot! This is not a bad phone at all, I noticed everyone was giving it amazing reviews, but in the comments of many videos I noticed people were mentioning many of this issues that reviewers were not addressing . Is not that is a bad phone, is just not the phone everyone is looking for. I Tested the Stylo 2 and it was nice, pretty sure there was some improvement to the Stylo 3 Plus.. Best budget phone next to Stylo 3. I agree low light photos are bad. Great outdoors pics. Its big battery is great. I connected to a car charger and it charged up enough to keep on going. Quick charge helps. I use bluetooth speaker to compensate for speaker. Yes it is bulky with a case but i am used to it.

Love this phone as far as looks, size, and battery life. And yes you are right about night-time photos. Had some deer in my yard and took photos and and a video. Couldn't even see them....lol. And another thing I'm trying to figure out. This phone won't send or receive photo's on text messaging. Is there a solution to that or does it not have this programmed? Subscribed your channel.

OMG you are not going to believe this. on July 30th my ZTE was stolen from inside Walgreens (Pharmacy). I had LOOKOUT! through Metro PCS. Guess this...that program only gave information as to location two days prior. LOL Needless to say I did not have the time I would of liked to have in purchasing a phone. I needed a cell immediately so I purchased the LG Stylo 4. I was hoping to wait to see what Samsung had to offer after knowing they where coming out with update products. I would give up the speaker quality entirely (I just need it for notifications and ringtone) as long a phone has these 3 things: 3.5mm audio jack, adoptable SD storage and a removable battery.) This one has 2 out of the 3 so for the price, not bad!👍

Just change your animation scales to .5x and no crashing and snappier than any expensive phone.... Screw the speaker I use Bluetooth headphones........ This phone is a bad ass phone for $100 bucks.......Battery is available on ebay and very easy to replace......

It's good to weigh the cons with the pros, to hear the full story. I'm still not fully sure I will get the ZTE Blade Zmax, as I have a LG G Stylo that is adequate, but actually finding many pluses in the ZTE that appeal to me. I like the price point as it is a big draw. Everyone's needs will be unique for the most part, so for my usage it ought to suffice well. Appreciate pointing out some of the drawbacks though.

People always say it's a non removable battery but really it actually is it just required more work to do. Then go to Amazon and get a new battery

You are 100% right.. but.. the average user does not know how to safely remove and install a new battery.. Last time I checked it cost between $50-$80 to replace a battery professionally.. I guess that terminology is used to make it clear to the average consumer that they will not be able to just buy a new battery and slap it in the phone. Also, I had many people tell me that they keep multiple charged batteries to swap on the go.

Your presentation was accurate in regards to the ZTE only wish that you would have included the more prominent issues. I'll explain why. I purchased the ZTE ZMAX 982 September 2017 with in the past ten months I have had to exchange it four times going on my fifth. Cost is not economical. This by far has been the 'worst' cell phone I have ever had. And I have had cell phones since cell service cell phones began.

I have some friends that work in Metro , I will get back to you on that one .. as far as Samsung , I have used Samsung phones for a long time.. My first Samsung phone was back in 2010.. I really started liking Samsung after they release the S3 and eventually jumped into the Note 4.. Ever since I have used Samsung as my main phones. Live every other phone, they will have some issues here and there, but I feel they are pretty solid. You do have to be careful with the budget Samsung phones you find around as they may not be worth it . For some reason , I have grown to like the Samsung's user interface as well.. Do you have a Samsung phone in mind, which you want to get ?

A lot of apps crash on this phone. It's the one I'm using at the moment. Watched this video to find out if there was some way to remove the battery. The camera is nice. The battery lasts a very long time. Keyboard is useful with one hand if using swipe to type & has a big screen for videos, but the glitchy buttons & slow load times for everything is terrible! If you only have 5 minutes to check your email, don't even bother turning this phone on. By the time email loads up, it's time to turn it off again & shut down is slow! I leave my phone turned off a lot while working or doing other things to avoid being distracted, but this is the first phone I've had in several years that I can leave on for more than 3 days at a time without having to charge the battery. Slow & glitchy. Nice screen & battery. Phone calls quality is good if you turn off the wifi.

great info! i’ve been experiencing a problem with the back light. even though i’ve chosen 30 minutes before it sleeps it always goes off in about 10 seconds. even while watching videos. so i constantly have to tap the screen to keep it awake! any suggestions?? tia!!

I don't have that issue or heard of anyone with the same phone. My suggestion will be to ensure you have the latest updates on the phone, save all your media/information and do a complete restore to bring the phone back to the original settings. If the issue is still there, you probably have a hardware issue which should be covered by the manufacturer. If the issue goes away, there was probably an app or a bug causing this issue. let me know!

Wow. So far after that issue I haven't had any problems with my phone. I think when my KZbin music (offline playlist) was updating I had other things updating at once causing the phone to freeze. 2gb of ram will apparently do that so I've been told lol. Thank you for the info

Best phone I have owned. Pros: Large conversation piece, durability from falls, large screen, slimness, vivid color and color customizing, easy organization of notes etc. Cons: This baby is heavy, low volume speaker, speaker on back of phone, cumbersome camera adjustment for quick picture taking. Most of the phones on the market are throw aways which means they are only designed to be used for a year or two and then the next latest and greatest phone comes along let's face it most of us only want to make phone calls and surf the net! I can't answer that since I did not take it out of the city. The antennas on the phone are important, but most importantly is the carrier that you have, what coverage they have in the area, and how close is their closest antenna. I can tell you in the city it worked fine, I compared it to some of the other higher-end phones and don't recall having issues with the signal. 👍 I did not made this video to bash on the phone, this is a two part video where I talked about what I like about the phone and some of the features I didn't really like.

@@MayitoTek That's one of my biggest concerns about a flag ship or budget phone what is the signal strength of the phone and I do know that carries do play a roll in that matter I actually use a Huawei Honor 10 cell phone but I use to have a ZTE blade Max 2s and this ZTE blade Max you tested and was extremely satisfied with the performance but I didn't like the sound quality of the speaker..

MY SCREEN BROKE IN HALF. The phone is too big. I bought it 3months ago because I needed an inexpensive phone quickly. I didn't even bother to look in depth at the specs and was surprised when I got it. I thought it was cool at first but after two months the screen broke from being in my pocket. Now 3months in and the phone is totally fucked. Also, You CANNOT use google pay or other wireless pay services with this phone.

I got this phone and I disagree, I can use it with one hand and I play like 5 games and all of them play just fine and there 1.67 GB or over and this phone works just good and the camera is excellent, better than I phone 7 and 8.I got a case to and it don't make it that much bigger.

+lamont staton I had the issue after I installed multiple apps, some apps would crash often.. when I first got the phone it was working smooth. Some people mentioned the same issue, and saw many comments reported by users in social media reviews. ZTE is also working on some beta testing to increase performance on this phone.. I think the phone is still a great buy for the price, just not for everyone

I have to say these three things : 1st you are a HATER 2nd this phone is just awesome for the price I've got it 15 days after it came out and it had worked perfectly, though I would agree on your speaker point, but still is a great phone it holds charge for a long time. 3rd this phone has an Excellent camera and colors. MayitoTek I've just gone in and checked out the video. Now we're talking. This phone is just AWESOME. I had a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus and you know what?? Won't even last a day and all of sudden stopped working... I was desperate and broke so I bought this one and trust me. I haven't felt the need of switching phones I am just waiting for the ZTE v9. You should take a look and make a 5 reasons why to buy it or not to buy the ZTE v9. Thank you and sorry for calling you a hater.

it's funny how people demand super quality "pictures" from a damn cellphone. If you want great shots buy a good SLR camera. It's a phone and you aren't a photographer and what else do you want for $100! lmfao

Actually the average user uses their phone as a primary camera and most people will never buy a DSLR. All the new phones mainly focus on how good the camera is. I agree with you, it is a $100 phone, but was getting hype as a phone that could compete with some of the higher-end phones. I made this video to give it a difderent perspective, not to batch on the phone itself. 👍

+Ted Stout I haven't tested the stylo 3.. the issue with 2 GBs of RAM is that many apps start eating up what ever memory is free, making the phone slow while multitasking.... I know many people have given the ZTE Blade more love compare to the stylo 3, based on what I have read online
