Omg! It actually worked! This video is a life saver! For all who are watching, follow the steps exactly as he shows you. For me, at the very end, the "erase everything" option was not available to select. So, I thought to hard reset it the old fashion way (power off, press and hold the power key and volume up key at the same time). I went through the steps of a factory hard reset and VOILA! Once the phone turned on, it recognized me as a new user. Today is December 20, 2017 and this method still works. So happy right now :)

i did everything you did but for some reason pressing the volume buttons did not mute talkback so i tried so many times until i got the browsing come up and it did work even though i could not disable talkback...also the apk file did not open whe downloaded, i have go all the way back and find file manager then downloads..i did everything by tapping twice..... so thanks bro it really worked

This video was so awesome and easy to follow I followed all the steps and everything worked perfectly but right as I am about to do the last step I couldn't complete it because my phone was only at 16% and I don't have the charger anymore 😭. I have since bought one of my favorite phones the Samsung J7 and am presented with the same problem. i would remove the sim card and use wifi to install the apk and browse chrome but once you do that final reset stick your sim card back in. but after that the play store should work just fine

So, what was the point of this? Everyone that does this resets at the end and never shows what happens next. I figured it was to easily delete unwanted bloatware, but that's just my perception. Was it supposed to go back to that welcome screen after resetting?

Once that reset option appears the device does the internal safe reset, once device powers back on it will not ask you for a google acct. The whole point of the video is to remove that previous google acct on device , perhaps that you forgot or maybe you bought the device second hand?
