There are several sequences that stand out a lot, but his work in Magnetic Rose is at an impressive level of realistic animation. Inoue mentioned that he only corrected the faces, keeping the rest of Arai's drawings, which is significant because Inoue was very demanding with animation supervision to the point of redrawing half of it from scratch. In Arai's sequences for the film you can see excellent handling of the movement of the characters, paying attention to making drawings with volume and a strong feeling of weight, which are very similar to Inoue's work from that time.
