1:25 I didn't remember Jojo looking so good. The movement is complex and at the same time incredibly expressive and unique

Jojo's first OVAs have the prestige of being visually incredible, in addition to having highly renowned artists. Iso's sequences are incredible in that work, but other animators managed to reach a similar level

Even if we ignore the Full Limited, Mitsuo Iso's style is super distinctive, it reminds me of some experimental projects from the 4°C studio
@AnotherSakuga2 жыл бұрын
Without a doubt, his style is extremely characteristic because it is not super stylized It was quite nice when in some anime, from one cut to another there was a huge difference in the character models thanks to the fact that Iso often did not keep them

I tried to put in the entire sequence from The End of Evangelion as it is easily his masterpiece and possibly the best animated sequence I have ever seen. Describing a bit of what makes it so incredibly well done: * First of all, read the answer to the comment posted on the Full Limited technique, since that technique shines completely in this sequence. * The Evangelion 02 unit and the Evangelion Mass Production units have the mass and impact according to their size and present the momentum when moving and inertia, as does Asuka inside the Entry Plug, showing the difficulties to carry out its movement. * The air is cut off when it comes into contact with Eva, as with copies of the Spear of Longinus. The impacts constantly caused by the confrontation make the trees fly away, the earth and rocks are destroyed, causing the stability in the Eva to be affected, staggering a lot. * The camera is unstable, using low shots that strengthen the illusion of large size, close-ups of the movement prior to strong actions (anticipation) and their corresponding impact, with sudden movements when there is a crash and generating a slight blur.

All the names of the series are in the description, I have also added the option of subtitles in English and Japanese with the names of all the series. You can go back or forward frame by frame Frame Advance: Press the " . " Key / Rewind frame: Press the " , " key Remember, animation is not made to pause as animation is made up of the entire sequence of drawings that create the illusion of movement, so there is no point in evaluating the "quality" of animation based on an individual drawing. Even so, I highlight the option to move forward and back frame because it is always interesting to see the animator's work in each particular drawing, in addition to helping a lot to understand how his work works. *There were a few small changes to the list of upcoming MADs that I will make: Toshiyuki Inoue Takeshi Honda Hisashi Mori Hideki Hamasu Yoshinori Kanada Yuu Yoshiyama Hideki Kakita Yasushi Muraki Hiroyuki Okiura Masami Obari Yutaka Nakamura Takafumi Hori Norifumi Kugai

Mitsuo Iso's work is not that detailed but the movement is so sophisticated
@AnotherSakuga3 жыл бұрын
It is so enjoyable to watch because it has a quite marked style but still does not lower the level of technical quality.

What's the full limited technique?
@AnotherSakuga3 жыл бұрын
The Full Limited is limited animation that imitates the Full Animation thanks to human perseption. Mitsuo Iso draws only Original Drawings (Keyframes) and generally works in 2s (12 original drawings) and 3s (8 original drawings). Usually the animation is done with 2 original drawings and filling the space with In-Betweens, but Iso directly eliminated the In-Betweens to have full control of the movement, he perfectly positions the original drawings so that the movement advances naturally, making a combination of 2s and 3s with precise modulation. It sounds simple, but animation geniuses like Toshiyuki Inoue have said they understand how it works but how difficult it is. Inoue describes it this way: "Iso-san’s Full Limited technique requires him to draw every drawing in a shot in order to maintain control over the movement, it’s quite complicated and I couldn’t do it."
